not as good as peter gabriel 1 but theres some good songs on here. the songs are a little long but for the most part they are interesting enough to warrant the runtime

there are some cool instrumental parts in this but its pretty boring overall.

i was surprised to enjoy this as much as i did. i went into this under the assumption that this would be a 2 at best. i ended up really enjoying the dark electronica. there was a string of songs toward the end that i didnt enjoy which brought the score down for me but those first few songs were low key bangers.

i didnt love this but it wasnt bad. the album cover was trippy, i stared too long and ended up getting dizzy

i was thinking that this reminded me of nick drake only to find out they were good friends and the title track was dedicated to drake. this had a lot of variety which kept it feeling fresh for the short runtime.

not as good as her debut but much more listenable than vespertine. there are a lot of cool ideas on this and i think they did a great job with production. the songs had a sort of weight to them that made me uncomfortable, almost like i was drowning in the sound. while i do think that was at least somewhat intentional i cant say i really enjoyed it. i was between a 3 and 4 for my overall enjoyment but given how well done it is im rounding up.

hes got a nice voice but this was incredibly boring

ive always liked the the title track but just kind of tolerated father figure. though i was excited to see this pop up, mostly as a reprieve from the more recent albums, i wasnt expecting much. ultimately i was surprised how much i enjoyed this album. sure it sounds dated and its very sleazy but its got a certain charm that i cant put my finger on.

actually enjoyed this for the most part. the length and the random seagull sounds are my only real complaints.

i came into this album with the perception of the verse as a one hit wonder due to the huge success of bitter sweet symphony. i always thought the song was fine, not spectacular but way too long. after listening to the album, i now believe that to be an accurate description of this entire album
