Never really listened to these guys (other than "Church of Noise," which I had as a single), but I missed out. This is great, so tight and well-written.

This was unexpected, not really my kind of thing, I'm sure it was good at the time, but I'm not sure there's anything all that remarkable here. Impressed by the sheer number of albums this man has made though!

Seems like a nice bloke.

This should really be my cup of tea, and I love well-produced electronica, but there's something just really hollow and meaningless about it all.

Short and sweet, but really sweet, almost perfect. Feels very authentic for music of this era.

This is really great! Sort of McAlmont & Butler for the 21st century.

Enjoyed this, reminded me of Led Zep in places.

I feel like somehow the Beasties became more fun as they became more mature and confident. This doesn't quite hit the same heights as "Hello Nasty," but it feels like a party nonetheless.

Liked this a lot to start with, and it felt adventurous and operatic, but it soon became grating and annoying, a bit too dramatic and melodramatic.

Still not getting this. I think he needs to cheer up a bit.
This still sounds really fresh, although my ears are quite old now. It doesn't quite work as an album because every song sticks to the same formula and they could all be singles, but it's a formula that works.

Blissful.

Why not try using cool music to distract everyone from how boring your life has been.

No idea what this was about, but it sounds like they were having fun and that's the most important thing.

Listened to this twice, once more after talking to my New Order-mad mate about it. I think that, like my mate said, they can't help but be New Order no matter how hard they try, and there's something endearing about this. Sumner's lyrics can be childish in places but this adds to the charm.

Really loved this a lot more than I thought I would.

Dealing with an absolutely toxic boss at work and this is exactly what I need. So soothing and calming.

Like Elbow but not as good. More like a wrist or a minor foot bone. Astonishingly bad tbh, music of this time is so cringe now, with their stupid hats and short guitar straps.

This was very exciting only really writing this review so I can get to the next album don't actually remember a single thing about it. Five stars.
