Rated 8/10
Great classic album with lots of well known hits. Always loved the vocal harmonizations, and one of the tightest rhythm sections in music. Would go 4.5 if I could, some of the songs just aren’t for me, but all easy to listen to.

Started off a little slow but gets going on track 3 Living for the City. I felt Songs in the Key of Life started slow and picked up a couple songs in as well. Higher Ground is an all timer from Stevie’s catalog.

Good album from Iggy, distinctive but not too far out. Very accessible. The Passenger is a great start to the album.
Rated 4/10
It's alright; it just kind of fades into the background, though. Background rhythms and beats, a bit boring for the most part. Put it on at a party when people are mingling and need something that's not too intrusive.

Very classic old time country/folk, very much sounds true to the era it was recorded in. Not really a genre or a sound that speaks to me but I appreciate the sounds, and here influences in a lot of what was to come in future music.

re-listen: Frank Reynolds face “I get it”. It takes some time to adapt to the sound but I get the brilliance. Pop tones is an incredible and complex rhythm combination, and the experimental and puzzled together sounds are visible elsewhere. There are still some tough to manage parts, but I will relisten to this often.
First listen: Couldn't make it through the first song (which is very long, and I don't mind long songs when they are good). Has the vocal style I don't particularly care for, and the guitars I found to be grating. Just a bunch of noise, which I get is probably the point, but it's not for me.

Great album, fund to listen to.

Talking Heads always bring such unique and different sound, it’s a cool change of pace. Great mix of electronic elements and mixing effects with traditonal pop punk sound. The singing on this and similar groups tends to be my least favorite part. Not something I’m going to listen to regularly, but probably one to add to the collection because it is so different.
Rated 6/10
Real range on this album of funk and slower songs. Some of it a bit slow for me, but a good record nonetheless.
Rated 4/10
Not my favorite Bowie album, quite a few instrumental only songs. Typical unusual and experimental sounds from Bowie, but definitely less "punchy" than some of his other work and overall less exciting for me.
Rated 4/10
Basic light pop music, I get a retro country feel on some of the tracks. Enjoyed the singing. Feels like music you would hear in a hotel lobby or department store.
Rated 4/10
Nice vocals and nice singing, I can appreciate the artist’s talent. Just a bit slow for me.
Rated 4/10
Hit or miss songs, and not a big fan of the singing. There is some nice guitar work on a couple of the songs. Mood and tempo seem to change a bit around 2/3rds of the way through. Overall underwhelmed.
Rated 6/10
Vocals are nice, and the instrument arrangements are interesting and bring in a variety of instruments. I can understand why the album is rated high critically. That said the album didn't really pull me in and I found it a bit sleepy at times. Maybe I need to give it a few more listens to better appreciate it.

This is a great album that is a joy to put on. I wish I could give it a 4.5 as my only complaint is the sequencing, it starts a bit off slow for me. Once it gets going though around track for it is full of hits and should be part of the regular rotation.
Rated 6/10
fast paced, high energy. Singing is not great as per the norm with this kind of punk.
Rated 8/10
the music is fun but the singing on the opener is just so bad to the point of parody. Thankfully it does get better, and the music is fire. Great hearing Aurora Borealis at this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, localized entirely within my speakers.
Rated 4/10
I know a lot of people my age really like Gorillaz, but I don’t get it. I wasn’t familiar with much other than the hits, I didn’t find a whole lot else when I listened. Some interesting grooves but I didn’t find the substance. Repetitive.
Rated 4/10
As he says on the album, it's music for middle school boys, and it holds up for that. I remember all these songs from when I was in high school, but it doesn't age well past that. Write extreme lyrics, complain about people not liking the extreme lyrics, write more extreme lyrics. ::shrug::

This was very good, hip hop with great variety, thoughtful lyrics, very engaging. My only complaint is the 12-minute outro, like an Academy Awards speech that goes on too long.
