Well, the music didn't bother me. However, there wasn't anything that I want to hear again. A bit boring overall. 2/5

Obviously I didn't know enough about PiL. I was initially delighted to find one (of two) albums by them in the project. The disappointment is great. I only liked Public Image. I quickly skipped the rest. 1/5

Eerie. Brian Wilson died yesterday, and today's album of the day is by him. The closeness and connection to the Beach Boys, with whom I can't do much, is audible. Nevertheless, something else also resonates. In the end, it sounded too much like the Beach Boys to me. And that still sticks with me. 2/5

A great reggea album. Even though I like to listen to reggea from time to time, I wasn't familiar with Burning Spear. That has now changed. I even liked the dub version of the album, Garvey's Ghost, better. 4/5

Maybe that's Mama Africa. Then I don't like Mama Africa. Maybe the music is very good, authentic and gives many people courage. But I still don't like it. Against the background of a list otherwise dominated by WASPs, I suspect this nomination is more for political reasons. And that's almost worse than the inability to think outside the box. 1/5

After the many negative reviews I read here, I was expecting something terrible. But it wasn't like that at all. The music takes a bit of getting used to. But I enjoyed it. It reminds me of DUB and LowFi, which I know from Kruder & Dorfmeister, Tosca or Peace Orchestra. I'll have to listen to this band again. 4/5

Phew, what a load of artificial artistic crap. Just because Andy Warhol had a hand in it, this album had to be on the list. The album is so boring that I could have left it on in the background if it weren't for Nico's voice and vocals. 1/5

Less bad than I feared. A few tracks were even quite nice. However, there was nothing on the album that made me want to listen to it again, while I quickly skipped a few tracks. 2/5

It's amazing that this album was released at the beginning of the 70s. It might have been groundbreaking 10 to 15 years earlier. As it is, it already seems outdated when it was released. I quite enjoyed listening to it, but won't be doing so again any time soon. 3/5
A very good album. I really enjoyed listening to it. The band name was previously unknown to me, in contrast to many of the numerous band members. The album won't find a place in my active long-term memory, but the band will. 4/5
After listening to a few country albums in the project, which I surprisingly didn't find bad, I wondered whether I might like this genre after all. With this album it became clear, no, I don't like it. This is exactly the style I associate with country music and it really annoys me. 1/5

Phew, what a load of shit. In between, there were a few passages where I thought it could still be something. In the next piece, however, my expectations were always emphatically disappointed. I finally broke it off. My time is too valuable for crap like that. 1/5

This is the album that I associate with the Beach Boys. It sounds so much like the mid-50s, fat Cadillacs, petticoats and portable radios. It was fun to listen to some of the old stuff again. But although the album is quite short, the last two tracks got on my nerves. 3/5

I've never actually liked Simply Red. I always thought Mick Hucknall was a bit pretentious and a bit of an airhead. But the girls in my clique thought he was great, for whatever reason. So I didn't expect much from the album. But in the end it was fun to listen to the album, even if I won't become a fan of the band. 4/5

I was immediately put off by the hip hop genre. However, there was also supposed to be rock. The music sounded funky to me at first and was interesting. But then I wasn't really taken by it. 3/5
Relax was a big hit at parties back then. I'd heard the whole album once before. I wasn't particularly impressed. Now I've listened to it again. You can recognize the typical New Wave sound of the 80s. It's a bit dusty. But it's still a blast at parties. It was a lot of fun. 4/5

A great album. I knew many of the tracks and didn't know that they were by Louis Prima. I'll definitely listen to the album again. 4/5

Many years ago, I followed the start of Ute Lemper's career. She was considered a star who was more or less ignored in her own country. But in France she was celebrated. Ute Lemper may be a well-trained singer. But I don't like the genres she performs. Too artificially artistic. I was excited when I saw in the track list that Nick Cave was involved in the album. Well, I listened to the album to the end. You can hear how well both Ute and the accompanying singers can sing. Nevertheless, I found it altogether too clinically clean, distanced and untrustworthy. I think that's a good description: clean, distant and untrustworthy. I will not become a fan of Ute Lemper 3/5

I loved listening to and watching Missy Elliot on MTV at the end of the 90s. I thought her music and clips were really cool. I didn't get any closer to her. So now an album from her. My premonition that this wouldn't be a hip hop album that I would like was confirmed. I find the cover version of The Rain annoying. Sock It 2 Me was quite interesting in parts, both in terms of rhythm and vocals. Beep Me 911 was ok, but nothing more. In my opinion, that's almost a good yield for a hip hop album. 2/5

I knew the name of the band and the album cover. But not the music on the album. I associated a different genre with the name of the group. But I was wrong. I found the album quite enjoyable in parts. However, nothing really impressed me and so it droned on in the background, not disturbing, but not inspiring me either. 3/5
