The WallPink Floyd

Rated 10/10

You can't have any pudding if you don't eat your meat! This is The Wall. What can I say, 5 stars of course

I haven't listened to the Dead in such a long time so this is nice to remember. I used to like them quite a bit, this is great road music. However in recent times I feel I outgrew them just a little bit. Anywhere between super strong 3 and good 4 stars, might be 4 if I am feeling generous tomorrow morning!

I'm not sure if I even need to listen to this gain, I know every single song of this great album, super-duper easy 5-star rating without needing much else to be said here really, another heavy metal masterpiece, rest in piece Ozzy.

As most people I am familiar with Meat Puppets because of Cobain covering "Lake of Fire" in Nirvana MTV unplugged live in NYC legendary '94 concert. This is very punkish alternative album, which I've quite enjoyed listening to. One can definitely see how this band was massive influence to Kurt's style. But apart from Lake of Fire and maybe couple of other tracks it's not super memorable, at least 3.5 on RYM and 3 stars here though. Good music

Surprisingly or perhaps not, this is much better than I expected. I think I can see why his early career was so highly praised before he went bananas. At least strong 3 stars, maybe even 4 but we will see, 3.5 on RYM.

I am aware of this album because of rather peculiar cover which is quite memorable, I just wish I could say the same about the music behind it! The guy on the cover is reminding me of Miles for some reason, music is alright, however so many short songs on almost an hour-long album, and they just drift from one to another without too much variety, gets a bit old a bit too soon I am afraid. I imagine at most 3 stars because I do tolerate it. There was a nice jazz fusion instrumental near the beginning of the album, but apart from that it still just seems to similar for me, not enough variety or ideas to carry this album, so if it's 3 stars then you know I am being a bit generous here.

Never heard of this before, not a bad breakbeat album, probably 2 stars cause I wouldn't care too much to come back to this. Once again, third day in a row I just switch back to Miles 2nd quintet to refresh my ear pallate haha

Yes, yes, yes! Finally getting some krautrock on the list, well besides Tangerine Dream I guess. Oh boy, do I feel sorry for any sore ass motherfucker calling himself music lover and failing to grasp the epic scale and influence of this great movement. 5 stars!

I can't remember if I ever got same artist 2nd day in a row and that's where we are with another record from Elvis Costello. And tbh, similar to others this is quite alright but nothing amazing, probably another 3 stars

I checked out the other album on this list from Pavement a while ago last year and it's pretty alright. This is kind of similar, not a bad indie album, strong 3 stars

Damn, here we go, this is the first ever for me actually sitting down to listen to these guys, I never really liked them that much, so this will be interesting. Listened to the whole thing and honestly they just don't do much for me, sure couple of memorable songs, but I have heard better things. And after listening to this I still don't get such a massive success this had, why? Possibly 2 stars or so

Never heard of this artist, sounds like a modern indie flavoured synth pop which I swear I already heard so many times before, this is so damn boring. I am wondering if they will even reach 2 stars, just because it's a synth pop which I don't mind but I don't know.. P.S. Honestly I cant even finish this, so probably no more than 1.5 on RYM, not sure if 1 or 2 stars here, really quite boring stuff.

Probably my favourite Bob's album so absolutely easy 5 stars here without thinking too much at all! What more can be really said about this great work, and yet I will still listen to it today on my way to the damn dentist appointment ouch

This is quite reminiscent of the Pogues which I really enjoyed quite a lot. I am also enjoying this quite a lot, however it feels like this album is way too long and blends a little bit too much, so we'll give it a middle rating of 3, not super great, but no bad by any means either.

Another poor young soul lost way too early. I have never sat down and listen to here but always knew she was something special. Reminiscent of old time jazz singers. Probably even thinking of giving this 4 stars. Several great songs here and of course great production, instrumentation and most important - Amy's great vocal delivery.

Very excited to explore this artist as I was only aware of her from the collaboration with Nick Cave which was great. Hearing this now on the first time and it's not disappointing at all, quite interesting and seems like could be a concept album although I haven't done any research and might be wrong here. Definitely easy 3 stars, but could be more and she seems like an artist I should Revisit

Honestly this is quite interesting for contemporary r&b album, however I don't like the production at all and her delivery is frequently quite boring, so just 2 stars, but could be worse. Seems to get better on the 2nd half so maybe 2.5 on RYM

Listened half of this and I have to admit I expected way more for some reason, because I kept seeing this album on the lists of best alternative albums on the 80s. And while this does sound ahead of it's time, not sure if it stands the test of time that good, it just sounds average to me, maybe 3 stars at best?
