Truly peculiar at time but I think if I give this a couple of extra listens I’ll really like this

There were several songs that I really vibed with off of the first listen

4

Is good but it definitely drops off after paint it black

I did also listen to the US version so probably need to go back and listen to the correct one at some point

3.5

I had this on cd when I was younger but didn’t really listen to it that much

Didn’t dislike anything on here other than the 12 minute outro lol

Kick push is a banger

4

Some interesting stuff, didn’t get the chance to listen properly though more than once though so will have to come back

Passenger is a tune though

Felt like I could of enjoyed this if there lyrics were better and the singers could sing, the vocals just felt like a bit of a novelty throughout the album

I’ve also clearly never heard the full 7 min version of Rock Lobster

1.5

More like Nah-capella am I right?

2

More jangle slop

Nothing interesting really happened ngl

2

I enjoyed this when it was on and did save a few tracks to relisten to but I can’t really remember much about this after the fact

3.5

Definitely overhated, but I can kinda see why

A lot of good songs on here that got my head bopping straight away, but this album is a bit of a slog. I probably could’ve been temped to give this a 4 if it ended after Under the Bridge

3.5

Hell yea

Heard it before, will listen again. Not their best but still some absolute bangers on here

4

More entertaining than a lot of the punk albums on this list already but still not really doing that much for me. Does make me want to maybe come back to this one which a lot of the previous ones haven’t

3.5

Some good stuff on here but it was a bit of a slog to get through

3

Pretty forgettable, didn’t not enjoy it or anything I just can’t remember any of the songs

2.5

Started off strong with a pulp feature but went downhill quick after that

All very fun and playful but most of it is missing like any substance, will probably be back to some of this however as there are a few catchy tunes

Coconut is a bop sadly

3.5

Didn’t appreciate this enough when I first listened to it but coming back to it now it’s all started clicking properly

Still kinda nuts that this is the same band that made pablo honey not that long before

4.5

Sounded a bit like a Beatles/Bowie crossover to start, and then more of a we have the Beatles at home situation.

Really not what I was expecting, was continuously waiting for staying alive to come on

2

Vincent was good and so was American pie (obvs) but I didn’t have enough time yesterday to give this a proper go so will have to come back to it

3

Hell yea

Kinda front loaded but any album with war pigs, paranoid and iron man as tracks 1,2&4 will be

Really not what I expected black sabbath to be, I had always thought it would be much much heavier and that I wouldn’t like it but this is awesome

4.5

Uneventful and a bit boring but not like bad or anything, just felt like 14 renditions of basically the same song. Not really sure why it’s on here
