Pretty good! I will say though, there are two genuinely horrible songs that tarnish this album. Most albums have a stinker, but "United" and "Red White & Blue" are absolute ass.

ah yes. the era of bad digital patches/samples, and Big Boi making an unwelcome appearance. Don't get me wrong, outkast is great, but the whole thing of him showing up for 10 seconds of lyrics for a check got old quick.

Other than that, the album is pretty decent, actually.

A lot of prolific bands do this. They have a short, amazing discography, then show up randomly 10-15 years later with a new album, which is never as near as good as the first few.

"Dummy" was a masterpiece. this album is not.

Listening on a good pair of headphones, the mix is all over the place. It's especially bad on May This Be Love. Apparently this was done on purpose? that's a shame. This is a 5-star album that gets brought down to 4 due to 1960s audio engineering choices.

This is an album that pretty much perfectly encapsulates the changing times of the western world- Fully recovered from WWII, exiting the peak of the civil rights movement, and men on the moon, entering into a decade of promise with glitz and glamor.

Picture a big-ass boxy 60s car cruising down the Vegas strip or sunset boulevard, without a care in the world
