I enjoyed this probably the most of all the solo Morrissey albums so far. Having said that, as I write this he has just released a single called "Make Up Is a Lie," which sounds like the most incel shit ever.

Rated 4/10

Largely unremarkable glam rock, seemingly trying to replicate "All the Young Dudes." The opening track is the strongest (I liked the sax), but it doesn't keep up the momentum. Hunter doesn't really have the voice for "I Wish I Was Your Mother" (which may seem odd to say for a Dylan knockoff).

This is good stuff, though it's obviously not a barrel of laughs. I'm not sure I would listen to it regularly, but definitely appreciate the quality.

I liked this more when it came out than I do now, I think. I would have put Original Pirate Material on the list over this. Still, there are bits that work. Really well; I like Blinded by the Lights.

Either I'm warming up to Hendrix, or my appreciation of his albums tails off as his career progressed, because I've had them in reverse chronological order, and gave 2, then 3, and I think this one deserves a four. It's hard to listen to Foxy Lady without picturing Garth though.

The harmonies are great, but I found myself wishing there was a little more variation in terms of accompaniment; even some percussion. (Note; listened to 2017 "remake", as could not find original)

Rated 4/10

I gave the last xx album a three, which looking back was perhaps generous. I found this to be inoffensively bland.

I liked this when it came out, or at least liked the singles I heard from it, as I'm not sure if I ever listened to the whole thing. But I liked it even more now; it's really got some excellent songwriting in it.

I had planned on listening to the English language version only, with perhaps the addition of the two songs that exist only on the French version, but i ended up enjoying it enough that I listened to the whole hour-and-a-half of it in one sitting. That's got to be worth at least a four, right?

I enjoyed this quite a lot more than I would have expected, despite its unwieldy length. Frampton has a good voice and is a great guitarist. "I Wanna Go To The Sun" and "Do You Feel Like We Do" have great guitar solos.

I liked this more than I thought I would, but not all the (multiple) vocalists were equally to my taste, and it went on far too long; distilled down to a single 45-minute album, this might have got a four.

Sounds a little dated, but on the whole I enjoyed it, and anything with Mark E. Smith is worth listening to. Strong three

I was surprised by how many of these songs I knew - I guess there were five singles from this album. There's no denying that the Finns are good songwriters, but I can't help but wish they were delivered with a little more edge.

There were a few tracks on here that i liked a fair bit, but the opener and the two "Religion"s were a slog, and the final track, long for the sake of a record contract track, was too.

The production and flow are good, but I didn't need multiple interludes of the sound of Biggie having sex. It's too long, as well.

Very strong side one, but tails off a little on side 2. I think i prefer "The Visitors" over this. Strong four.

This was pretty good. I didn't always totally love the singer's voice, but the instruments were my cup of tea. The standout track for me was Let Me Come Back. A high three.
