Never heard of Espers, but I'll be listening to more; I really enjoyed this. Definitely reminiscent of Fairport Convention, but with a modern twist.

Ok, maybe I'm getting used to the slurred/mumbled singing because it didn't offend me quite as much this time. I like this even though it's maybe a little dated.
Rated 4/10
This wasn't terrible, but it wasn't too much to my taste; a little too close to emo for me.
Rated 6/10
I liked this well enough, and it was definitely an improvement over the last couple of days, but I have to admit I kind of tuned it out after a while.
Rated 1/10
I hate the vocals here with an extreme passion. I'm feeling bad for giving RHCP one star yesterday, because this is a whole new level of awful.
Rated 1/10
Kiedis really is a terrible vocalist
Rated 4/10
I quite liked the Death In Vegas album on the main list and gave it 4*, but this one is much less compelling IMO. Not unpleasant, but fairly run of the mill.
Rated 4/10
Two days ago, I'd never heard of that day's artist, underscores, and here she is guesting on today's album. This one didn't do it for me nearly as much though; it felt a little insubstantial and lacking in agency. A high two, because it wasn't unpleasant.
Rated 6/10
I've listened to their "Cinq Saisons" album in the past, and this is much in the same vein, except maybe a little less folky and more proggy. I liked it. A decent amount; a high three.
Rated 8/10
I'm not going to claim this is New Order's best, but I also think it's a little maligned here. It still sounds pretty great. I liked Singularity a lot; you could hear the Tom Rowlands contribution pretty clearly. Superheated might be the weakest track on it.Still gets a four in my book.
Rated 8/10
I'd never heard of underscores before, and I suspect I'm fairly comfortably outside the demographic that this is aimed at, but I actually really liked it. Enough variation to keep me consistently interested. I like the glitchiness to it, which I feel did not step into the bounds of overdoing it.
Rated 8/10
Enjoyable jazz. Early Summer was the standout track for me. Low four stars.
Rated 4/10
I found this to be very bland. I'll echo others calls to have more non-English-language music on here, but this isn't a great example of it IMO.
Rated 4/10
Some of the beats are pretty good, but I really find his voice annoying. A very low two.
Rated 8/10
I'd only previously heard Werewolves of London which is a good catchy song. But the rest of this album is pretty great too - some enjoyable songwriting here.
Rated 4/10
Super generic music by committee.
Rated 1/10
Hate it. Can't stand the screaming.
Chill and pleasant, but not something i see myself listening to repeatedly. Low three.
Rated 6/10
I wasn't sold on the bits with vocals, but the instrumental sections were very enjoyable. If this had been purely instrumental, a solid four; as it is, a high three.
I know this is a critical darling, but it just doesn't do it for me. I think it's mainly that I don't like Mangum's voice
