I bought this back when it first came out cause I loved Blue Orchid. I was really disappointed with it, maybe listened to it twice and never again until today.

My opinion on it hasn’t really changed. Love Blue Orchid, might even be my favourite song from them. The rest of the album just doesn’t do it for me.

So the biased Who fan in me really wants to give it the full five stars but it’s not quite there if I’m honest.

The title track is an absolute classic but the stand out for me is The Kids Are Alright, in the discussion for my favourite song from The Who.

What stops me giving top marks is while the rest of the album is really good, it’s just that. There aren’t anymore outstanding, knock your socks off tracks. It’s still a great album though but there’s much better from them.

Top Track - The Kids Are Alright

I liked the last 30-40 seconds of Naag Devta. I hated absolutely everything else about this one. It might be my worst album so far.

Nothing necessarily wrong with this album, it’s just quite unspectacular. It’s definitely not one that will last long in the memory. Apart from Outro, ridiculous track. 13 minutes of this Head Melt thanking seemingly everyone under the sun lol.

My first two Cohen albums got one star but the two since have got a 3 so maybe he’s growing on me. I might go back to those first two and give them another go.

Is was a really solid album with a couple of crackers on it. The Partisan in particular was bloody great.

Between growing up in Northern Ireland and listening to John Peel back in the day, this one is a long time favourite of mine.

Here Comes The Summer and Jimmy Jimmy are absolute belters. Get Over You is very close to being my favourite from it but that goes to Teenage Kicks.

Teenage Kicks is obviously the biggest hit from the album. Famously John Peels favourite song, the first time he played it he ended up replaying it again straight after. I honestly think it’s the best song ever to come out of this country.

Hated this. Went on for an eternity. My name is Humpty and it’s spelt with an Umpty is up there with the worst lyrics I’ve ever heard and I listen to Power Metal so am so stranger to ridiculous lyrics

Bloody loved this. On a couple of tracks the vocals reminded me a bit of Fyfe Dangerfield from Guillemots, who is one of my favourite singers so definitely not a bad thing.

A great album with nothing even close to a dud track on it. I’ll be getting stuck into the rest of their discography after this.

Top Track - Ragged Wood

Did not like the title track whatsoever and I was dreading the rest of the album. It picked up a bit afterwards with Over The Hill but the stand out for me was I’d Rather Be The Devil (Devil Got My Woman), an absolute cracker of a track.

The rest of the album was decent enough but didn’t hit that same height.

Not for me in any way shape or form. I’m not a fan of the genre, with some exceptions, and this is as stereotypically country as you can get.

There’s some belters on here as well as a few I wasn’t massively fussed on. It’s an album I could see growing on me with a few listens.

It starts really strong with That Lady and that was potentially part of the problem I had, it was deep into the album before another track came even close to matching it.

Sunshine(Go Away Today) was were it picked up again for me but the standout track by a mile was Summer Breeze. Loved everything about it but especially the unexpected cracker of a guitar solo at the end.

This shows how my taste in music has changed while doing this project. I started this originally as a solo before restarting in a group 20 something albums in and this was one of the albums I generated. I gave it a 2 lol, don’t know what I was thinking.

This album was great. Needless to say Aretha has an all time voice. It’s not one I’m likely to go back to often but I’m glad I appreciated it more second time around.

Top Track - Niki Hoeky

Not a terrible album by any means, just not for me at all. Not one I’ll ever go back to and more than likely will have forgotten it within a few days.

A couple of decent tracks on here but mostly nothing to write home about. Felt like it went on for an eternity.

Top Track - I’m Destructive

Three 5s in a row, we are raining stars round here. This one is a longtime favourite so it was a five before I even started.

I reckon I was probably about 7 or 8 years old when I first heard the title track. There was an old comedy series here in the Uk called The Young Ones and Motörhead appeared on one of the episodes performing Ace Of Spades. I used to rewind that scene and watch it countless times before getting back to the episode. Bloody love that song and always will.

There’s nothing fancy about this but sometimes that’s what you need, some good old dirty rock and roll.

Top Track - Apart from Ace Of Spades, probably We Are The Road Crew

Rated 10/10

I haven’t been overly impressed with the two Stooges albums I’ve generated so far but this from Iggy as a solo artist was bloody brilliant.

It starts with a banger in Lust For Life. I’ve loved this track ever since I first watched Trainspotting, all time great movie and soundtrack.

The Passenger is probably his biggest hit and it is definitely a great track but I don’t like it quite as much as LFL.

Rated 10/10

I bloody love this album, have done for as long as I can remember.

There’s bangers galore on here. Hells Bells is up there with my all time favourite openers. The title track, while massively overplayed, is still a classic.

The stand out for me though is Rock And Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution, definitely in my Top 5 tracks from AC/DC.

My second album from The Temptations and, much like Cloud Nine, this started really strong before falling away a bit. The vocals are brilliant at times though.

Top Track - Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone

To give some credit there’s some good bass playing on here. I hated basically everything else about this though. Especially the vocals. My God I hated the singing on this.

A pretty good album with a couple of belters on it. Red Eyes in particular is a great tune. For a good while I was thinking this would be a four star but a few of the tracks dragged on a bit too much for my liking, Disappearing felt like it went on for an eternity.

Overall I liked it but I’m unlikely to ever listen to it again in full. On a side note this is now my longest stretch without a five star album, 30 albums ago. Maybe I’m becoming more picky as this goes on lol.
