I really wasn’t feeling the first two tracks at all but then I enjoyed Beginnings so things were picking up. The tracks after that were great until Free Form Guitar which wore out its welcome very quickly.

I’m A Man got me back into it, I love me some Spencer Davis Group and this was a great cover of them. After that nothing stood out massively apart from Liberation went on for donkey’s.

Overall there’s some brilliant tracks on here but also a lot I didn’t care for. It’s over an hour long and I really don’t think it needs to be. Chop 20-30 minutes off it and I’d be giving it a 4 minimum.

Great album. Beck is one of those singers that I always enjoy listening to but it’s quite rare that I take a notion to do so.

E-Pro, Broken Drum and Go It Alone were all cracking songs. The rest of the album was strong throughout as well. It’s one of those hard ones to score where it’s hard for me to find a fault with it but it’s missing some element that makes me give it top marks.

Top Track - E-Pro

I hated Country Life so wasn’t overly enthusiastic going into this but it wasn’t that bad.

Well I hated Ladytron but apart from that it wasn’t that bad. Sea Breezes was a belter.

Belter of an album. Monday, Monday was a great opener. I really liked their take on Do You Wanna Dance. I do prefer The Ramones version but this is right up there.

Obviously California Dreamin’ is the big hit from this, it’s an absolute classic. Thing is though it’s been used in so many movies, shows etc that I’ve heard it countless times so it doesn’t really stand out to me as much as it probably should.

After that there was nothing bad but the album did fall away a wee bit for me which ultimately stopped it from getting a five.

I was dreading this when it generated, did not think I was going to enjoy it at all but I was pleasantly surprised.

Across the whole album I really liked his voice. In saying that there wasn’t anything that made me go wow I need to listen to this again but at no point was I bored of it or hating life.

Top Track - The Wild Side Of Life

A decent enough album but definitely my least favourite from Steely Dan so far.

The only track that massively stood out for me was Show Biz Kids solely because The Super Furry Animals sampled it for The Man Don’t Give A Fuck. Banging track.

Top Track - Show Biz Kids

I’ve heard some of their singles before, thought they were alright but nothing mind blowing, but this was my first time listening to an album in full.

It started off pretty good with Privilege and I carried on enjoying it up until Stellar which is when I started to get a bit bored of it. Some of the tracks were just a bit too samey for me.

I fucking hated Battlestar Scralatchtica.

There’s a couple of tracks on here I really didn’t like whatsoever, Remembering in particular did my head in.

The rest of the album was alright, nothing I particularly enjoyed but beyond 2-3 tracks I didn’t dislike it enough to give it a one.

That’s both Bee Gees albums on the list done now. Didn’t particularly enjoy either of them. I figured all their music would be Disco so was quite surprised with what was on here.

I don’t like Bon Jovi. Saying that, whenever I hear You Give Love A Bad Name I always think it’s quite good at the start but can’t stand it by the end. I think it’s just the intro I like.

The only song of theirs I do enjoy is Wanted Dead Or Alive which is why this isn’t getting a one star. There’s mo more from them on the list so pretty much a guarantee I won’t ever listen to an album of theirs again.

I was expecting just a standard pop album that would come and go without me feeling too strongly about it but I bloody hated this. Señorita especially was an absolute melter.

This was a really fun listen, some great stuff on here. A lot of the tracks are pretty short, a couple too short for my liking though. 106 Beats That for example, I was really getting into it then it just stopped. I’ll definitely be checking out more from them though.

Great album for the most part. About a minute into the opening track, Ghost Rider, I was fairly sure I was really going to like it. The only thing that let it down was Frankie Teardrop went on a bit too long for my liking. I’m gonna give it another listen later on though and see if I feel differently second time around.

Top Track - Ghost Rider

The opener, For Tomorrow, is belting track. Up there with my favourites from Blur. Apart from that nothing really stood out for me though.

That’s me finished with all the Blur albums on the list. Nothing on here has really changed my opinion of them. Parklife is a really good album but apart from that they are very much a singles band for me.

Top Track - For Tomorrow

Have never heard of this band before, some really great tracks on here. Negative Space and Ullswater in particular were absolute belters. Towards the end it did start to fade a bit for me but still one I’ll definitely go back to as well as checking out more from them.

Top Track - Ullswater

This didn’t come close to Murder Ballads as my favourite Nick Cave album but it was still a really good listen. I enjoyed every song on it but it just lacked that something that blew me away enough to go for the full five.

This completes all the Nick Cave albums on the list for me. He’s definitely a Top 5 discovery so far for, I’ve given him three 5 stars and two 4’s. Amazing because I hated Murder Ballads first time I heard it. I was talked into giving it a second go and as far as I can remember it’s the only score I’ve gone back to edit.

Top Track - There Is A Kingdom

The album tracks on this didn’t do anything for me but it’s hard to fault the singles if you’re looking for great pop music.

I do massively prefer the Travis cover of Baby One More time.

Top Track - You Drive Me Crazy

I’ve heard a couple of songs from this before but never listened to the whole album. Holy crap this was great. How many bangers can you fit on an album? Definitely an album I’ll be going back to.

Top Track - Beat It

So my only knowledge of Tito Puente was his appearance on The Simpsons many years ago. His song on that, Señor Burns, is an absolute banger.

This album however was completely banger-less. I’m writing this three hours after finishing it and I remember absolutely nothing about it.

My third and final Elvis album on the list and definitely my favourite of the bunch.

There were a couple of tracks in the middle I wasn’t massively keen on, which ultimately kept this out of five star territory, but there wasn’t anything I would call bad.

Top Track - Suspicious Minds
