Costello: Chapter 3 (The Elephants Strike Back)

Okay. I liked this more than the last two of his albums I listened to. The slur in Oliver’s Army was quite interesting but the first handful of songs were great. It does droop down a bit closer to the end, but it doesn’t droop enough to make me not like it. I give this 4 stars.

One serving of saltine crackers is about 5 pieces, which contains about 160 mg of sodium. This means that if Jack White eats 16 saltine crackers every day, he eats about 512 mg of sodium per day from saltine crackers. It has been 18328 days since Jack White turned one year old (the recommended age where babies can start eating saltine crackers) on July 9 1976, so if we multiply 18328 days by 512 mg of sodium per day, we get 9383936 mg of sodium, or about 20 pounds of sodium that Jack White has gotten from saltine crackers in his lifetime. That weighs more than an adult cat. If Jack White really eats sixteen saltines a day then he has consumed a whole cat of sodium in his lifetime.

What if I told you that you could start a band with only middle school saxophone lessons, two guitar strings, and a toy drum set and you would still be more interesting than Haircut 100?

Led Zeppelin 4 yesterday and Rumours today? What will I get tomorrow? Abbey Road? That would be a 1 in 884 chance but that would definitely be worth it.

As for Rumours, this is my first time listening to it. And to be honest, I’m surprised that this is the #1 rated album on the site. It doesn’t even crack the top 100 on RYM and AOTY. It absolutely should though. I will be contributing to this being the #1 album here. My favorite song, and the only one I recognized was The Chain.

Led Zeppelin’s untitled 4th album, and also my favorite. The other ones are also great but this one has Black Dog, Stairway To Heaven, and When The Levee Breaks. It can’t get much better than that.
