They should’ve put in a 7th Elvis Costello record instead.

This generator has made me realize that I do not actually hate country. I just find the people who typically listen to country to be insufferable. Easy 4 stars.

Looks like that weird 70s techno band is done with making music about vehicles and have now decided to create baby-making music for gen x daft punk fans that think pineapple belongs on pizza

I liked Innervisions more but this one is alright. Its over 90 minutes so I will have to remove a star leaving this a 3.
Second Metallica album. This is a really beautiful live album. Many have recommended in the reviews that this should be replaced with Ride The Lightning. Personally, I think RTL should be added but this one should also stay. It’s hard to believe that symphonic metal could work, but it does! The live version of Nothing Else Matters brings me to tears each time I listen to it and in my opinion, it’s even better than the original. This is an easy 5 stars.
HOWEVER
If we go to the wikipedia page, we can see all sorts of fancy stuff like the tracklist, producers, and where it was recorded. But we can also see the runtime of this album, which happens to be 133 minutes and 14 seconds. I have a rule when I review albums that says that albums over 90 minutes get one star dropped from its rating. So with how much I love this album, I must give it 4 stars. And yes, this will apply to the Beatles and Stevie Wonder. I’m not singling out Metallica.
So far this list is making me like country
As one 1001 user says, “I never thought that I’d be sitting here enjoying music, yet here we are”

It’s ok. There are better rap albums out there.

How is this rated only 2.63 stars?! Scott 2 is a beautiful album and anyone who doesn’t like it on the first listen should listen to it over and over again until they appreciate the true beauty of Scott Walker.

If you are a millionaire secretary or an old homeless drug addict, this album is for you. I usually enjoy African music but this was not it.

Not to say that I didn’t enjoy it, but I didn’t like it as much as I wanted to. But that’s OK! I still have two more chances with the cure (three actually because Songs From A Lost World is being added in the next edition of the book.

I really resonate with dogfight giggle
Didn’t get this on a Monday but that’s all right! I wasn’t happy anyway.

What did I just listen to? A broken pig?
Little fun fact: There is only one album title in the book that belongs to more than one album. And that is: Third! And it belongs to three albums. (Big Star, Portishead, Soft Machine)

For something so “revolutionary”, this was so remarkably dull

It’s unique but it’s not very memorable either. To an extent I enjoyed it. A bit too long for my liking though. 2 stars.

Kanye’s debut album. This is my least favorite of the three albums he has on the list and its still a 10/10 for me, which really shows how great Kanye is AS A MUSICIAN, and maybe someday he will be as great of a person.
Two Words and Family Business are two very beautiful songs and The New Workout Plan may be one of the most fun-to-listen songs of all time.

Eminem, Katy Parry, Lady Gaga, and Lady Antebellum were nominated at the grammys for album of the year in 2011. This somehow beat out all of them. And by the way, the katy perry album should be on the list.

Sounds like 4 people who have only listened to one album in their life (and each member has listened to a different album) recorded an album and they were good for some reason

First half a 3. It got better though

Not my favorite bowie album but its still great
