Ohhh look a drum machine and a synth sitting in the side of the road, should we make the biggest hit of the decade? Look, Take on Me is the song of the 80s, but the rest of the album is pretty uninspired and sappy. Pretty clear why ppl see them as a one hit wonder.

Let go all of your preconceived and mostly all incorrect assumptions about this band, what they represent and how they made music. This album is PURE classic rock - this album might be a near perfect example of the "genre" we call 70's/Classic Rock.

If you can't appreciate that because of how you perceive them, i got nothing for ya.

From the sweeping ballads, to the southern slide, the blues to the hard solos.

Feels like he has the ingredients and they are all in the mixing bowl but not yet cooked. A solid preview is what is to come but just to much in its infancy. Better Foo Albums could have been here.

Some of the faster moving rock jams - are just that...great jams with great guitar. Where they do to much SF psych - and try to be a poors mans Dead...they lose it.

Is it possible for Pink Floyd to write an album non bloviated and self obsessed and taking themselves SO SO seriously?!?

Look, Waters is not my jam but the song wish you were here is beautiful and parts of shine on can shine…so I guess if I had to have one Floyd album..

That was a lot of fun, great electro pop and dance that is just enjoyable. Great music to both work and workout too.

Does it belong on the pantheon of music, no. Does that make it not worth it on this list, also no.

Every damn second of this record is perfect. Every sample, every bar, every track. This just shows what creative underground hip hop can be...just TIMELESS.

BlunderbussJack White

Rated 10/10

I do not care how much crap Jack White or White Stripes get on this site - or if there are to many White Stripe Albums. This album can DAMN ROCK! From cover to cover - it is not stop rock and blues at its finest - there is no taking his foot off the pedal, no weak points, no filler.

Damn Atlantic City is a great song!! I always loved the idea of this album more than the album itself.

That being said...sitting down, struggling with it and trying to get into the mood - it is a brooding, dark, poetic treasure. Will i go back to it, not much...does it have it faults and overblown...yes. But the more you take a beat and listen the more you appreciate.

The joke isn’t funny. Not sure what else to say…the troll album is just that a troll album but I’m sure Zappa felt self righteous.

Teens all suck but the smug teen is the worst of them all. Why is Zappa a 26 yr old still angry he didn’t get the girl in HS?

There are a number of concepts in this album - all of which are good but not fully realized. Choose one, make it tighter and it's a great album.

What earlier might have been a 4 in this project turns into a 3 the longer it goes on - and this one might be the perfect example.

There is way better Talking Heads, with catchier hooks, better singles and less monotony. But they are still the heads and the sound is always still so unique and timeless.

RepeaterFugazi

Rated 10/10

Ian Mackaye and Fugazi are hardcore and punk gods for a reason. I have nothing bad to say about this album.

Still not my Fav Marley - but like every Marley Album a good time with so many classic tracks. Stop That Train, Stir it Up, Kinky Reggae...just put it on..relax and enjoy life for a moment and listen to the social message.

Precursor to chill hop meant to be listened to in chunks while working on a playlist. Hard slog through a 80 min album.

Solid for what it is but def not needed before I die.

21st Century Man is such a strong opener that it would have gotten a 5 right then and there.

The classic book-end...Moon-Child? Just record a EP if you dont have that much music, seriously...just dont.

Son of a Preacher Man is an ALL TIME single - but the rest of the album is so filled with schmaltz it cant overtake the incredible session musicians.

Windmills of your mind is a wonderful cover but its so hard to overcome the rest of the album.
