First time through, I thought it was a 4. But it was good enough I wanted to listen again, and I liked the second time as much or more, so that’s reason enough to award a 5.

Why is this 2 hours? It's just bad club music.

Rated 8/10

This is pretty good. I'm going to go to a record store and smash all their records because of how influential these lofi beats to study to are

Rated 4/10

Not the worst thing ever, but it has an air of being The Bits Moby Rejected.

Some of it would grace any dentist's waiting room.

Rated 6/10

𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘺 𝘙𝘰𝘤𝘬 & 𝘙𝘰𝘭𝘭 has plenty of good melodies, and Mylo has a real knack for making electronic music sound light, catchy, and immediately accessible.

My problem is less with the album itself than with where it sits in the 1001 Albums experience. From the 1990s onward, the list contains so much British electronic music that another polished electronic record inevitably feels a little less special than it might in isolation.

So this is enjoyable enough, and occasionally very good, but it never quite convinces me that it needed to be one of the chosen ones.

Rated 6/10

It's got good enough beats to be music to get shit done to, but it falls apart when listening to music IS the shit you're getting done.

Rated 6/10

This ranged in quality from elevator muzak, to an annoying repetitive early daft punk rip off, to some actual quality electronic music. Nothing was horrendous, just all a bit tedious. 2.7/5 -> 3/5

Always confused this with Yourcodenameis:milo

Rated 3/10

I mean... okay. decent use of samples. not crazy interesting of even musically interesting, though. 2+

Rated 2/10

DJing ain't a real skill: that's why every single celeb does it (including Rupaul). I don't see what the point of taking music from the 80s and stripping it of all structure and fun is exactly.

Rated 6/10

Fairly decent Sky TV Guide menu music across large spells, but a baffling selection for the list really, and it's surprising to learn that it has continued to dodge the axe in more recent editions of the book. The album is clearly all a bit of a piss take which does endear me to it somewhat, but all told there perhaps isn't enough meat on the bones or genuine ambition on offer here for me to feel the need to revisit any time soon.

Rated 4/10

Some tracks are bangers, but most of them could be used as Chinese torture.

Very good

Rated 4/10

This has its moments here and there, mostly points of nostalgia as I try to figure out where the samples came from. On the whole though this is a pretty mindless dance album. Not really my thing and I continue to question why there is so much of it on this list.

Rated 4/10

how much ambien do you have to take to dance to this for an hour?

Rated 6/10

Alright background-y music. Rock & roll has nothing to worry about.
Not worthy of this list, but many albums on here aren't. Didn't hate it. 3*

Rated 4/10

Not my thing. Had to skip at least one song due to how annoying it was. 1.5/5

Rated 6/10

3.25 Fun and catchy
