This is just obnoxious to listen to. Like someone's embarrassing demo tape. I actively disliked this. It never faded into the background, just kind of stayed... present... and annoying...

ScumNapalm Death

Rated 2/10

Listen to Scum?
Not on a train, not in a tree!
Not in a car, 1001-albums-generator, you let me be!
I would not, could not, in a box.
I would not, could not, with a fox.
I will not listen to them in a house.
I will not listen to them with a mouse.
I will not listen to them here or there.
I will not listen to them anywhere!
I do not like Scum's Napalm Death.
I do not like them 1001-album-generator!

2 for 2 with Cure albums for me. These guys along with Neil Young have been the most consistent "discoveries" I've had on this generator so far. The Cure is just tailor-made for my kind of taste. Great album, it's going to regular rotation.

Ahh, for the longest time I wouldn't have been able to name any Moby songs for you. I was aware of him, but honestly, all that ever came to mind was that one Eminem lyric.

As it turns out, I've heard a bunch of Moby tracks!

And they're alright. Not really my kind of scene. Most of it kind of fades into the background. The tracks that do stick out I don't mind, but nothing really sparks joy. The album kind of goes on too long, for my tastes, too.

I've never been the biggest fan of The Band, but this is a damn fine album. There's the song from Easy Rider, of course ("The Weight"), but I also really liked "We Can Talk" and "Chest Fever" . The gospel influence on this album is great. That organ in "Chest Fever"? Sublime.

Beautiful album. "Pagan Poetry" is a phenomenal track, and "Heirloom" is up there too. Doesn't have any of my top Bjork tracks on it, but very cohesive and consistent listen. Really like this one.

Damn, this album's really good. I have it on record but I clearly don't listen to it nearly enough. Still feels very modern. Like, clearly a bunch of moderns bands I listen to have taken notes. Going to have to put this in more consistent rotation.

(Nice.)

This is interesting: An album whose concept is actively detrimental to the listening experience. I understand the want to do something... but just because to want to, or even CAN do something, doesn't mean you should. And while I'm glad The Magnetic Fields didn't follow through with writing a "100 Love Songs" album, this is still too much.

There are tracks on here I genuinely kinda like. Not love. Nothing mind blowing. But there's some catchy indie pop here. I dig it.

But those I like only appear every 10 or so tracks. In the interim I'm listening to stuff that is uninteresting, forgettable, or actively annoying.

This could be trimmed down to one album that's pretty solid. At 3-discs, though? Like I say, actively detrimental to the listening experience.

I do not like rock operas. This is no exception. The saxophone in "All Revved" goes hard and there's some decent moments throughout, but largely don't care for this.

Damn fine album. I only knew the singles going into this, but there's quite a bit more to like here. As usual with the Pumpkins, I like their slower more rock ballad stuff than their heavy fast stuff. Still, real good.

Luna and Hummer were real good.

Damn fine album. I've never had the same adoration for Pixies that some have, but they write undeniably good songs. Been a long time since I've listened to this one. Was nice to revisit.

Decent album. Several good tracks here, a bunch of others that are inoffensive but not super catchy. It's decent. Didn't love it, but a solid listen.

Eh, not a huge fan. "Karma Chameleon" is pretty fun, and "It's a Miracle" and "Miss Me Blind" are catchy--I think I've heard them both before sampled in future funk songs.

I don't think I was missing out on anything without Culture Club in my life.

I was always kind of mixed on this album. There's a few songs I absolutely rock with, but damn there's a bunch of stuff on here that I hate. I appreciate "Rhymin and Stealin" more these days, but "Brass Monkey" is still one of the fastest skips I've ever done on an album.

Such a damn good album. Top tier G-funk. The tracks are so damn listenable. The album is also funny as hell. Clever satire but never sacrifices quality of song for a gag.

It's like bargain bin David Bowie. Couple decent tracks early on. Some of it is forgettable. Some of it is a bit over the top melodramatic. Some of it I dig.

Man, this album rules! I never really listened to Rage before this. Like, I knew "Killing In The Name Of". But... that's it. This whole album is a banger! (And turns out I also knew that one track that was off The Matrix, ha). Grabbed the CD and I've been listening to this on my drive to work a lot lately. Has slowed down my progress overall.

Pop music but with cussing. First track was p decent but rest of the album was samey and forgettable. Didn't hate it but didn't care for any of it really.
