It’s still more boring country. Meh

There’s enough other glam rock from this time that I actually enjoy quite a bit but Roxy Music feels like it’s just slightly beyond that. I can appreciate it and enjoy it somewhat, but there’s just other bands I prefer
A lot of my favorite music can trace influences back to this album, either directly or indirectly. So ya, this is an easy 5 stars
Rated 8/10
I love Brian Eno but of his non-ambient albums, this one is my least favorite. It’s a bit less refined. Any of the others would get a full 5 stars
Rated 8/10
This is good but it’s not a full experience without the added visuals from David Lynch of random objects flying in front of the band playing
Rated 8/10
This is the weirdest and best episode of Jimmy Fallon ever
Rated 8/10
I’ve listened to what’s the story morning glory a lot but have barely given this one a chance. It’s good but it definitely feels like it’s the lesser brother of their later album
Rated 10/10
Pretty fantastic. Never heard of this but it’s a bop all the way through
Rated 2/10
Like the other Eminem album, there’s definitely talent out into this thing. It’s just that the lyrics and message of it all is so vile in such a juvenile way that it ruins it completely
Rated 8/10
There are way too many Elvis Costello albums on this list, but I actually quite like this album. It’s his first and is a little bit rougher. From what I’ve heard of his later music, it’s a bit more sanded down and bland. But this one is fun
Rated 8/10
Outstanding on the upbeat songs and Papa Was a Rolling Stone. Some of the others are weaker but they still don’t really pull the album down at all
Rated 4/10
Oh this was so bland and boring. Just the most radio friendly beige nothingness music. I ended up skipping chunks of songs and went back to listen to my last band, Pere Ubu, because they actually sound like something and are trying to do something with their music
Rated 8/10
This is very odd in many ways, but it never really got grating to me. I kind of liked it actually
Rated 8/10
In the Court of the Crimson King has 3 really great songs and 2 really mid songs so it all kind of evens out
Rated 10/10
An absolute favorite of mine. Kind of proto punk but also much more lowkey. I also love Jonathan Richman’s later music which leans even more into being like this kind of kind hearted guy who also loves the Velvet Underground too much
Rated 8/10
I enjoy indie stuff enough that even though this sounds like pretty basic generic indie rock I still ended up liking this a fair amount. No clue how it ended up on the list though
Rated 8/10
It’s big dumb rock, and it’s not trying to be anything more than that
Rated 6/10
This is pretty solid rap but not anything that’s probably going to stand out or stick with me
Rated 8/10
Why would they pick this album by the National when the soundtrack to Cyrano was right there?
Rated 10/10
One of my favorite albums. It rides the line between light psychedelic fun pop and weird drift less melancholy while making it all blend so well together
