It's like a Broadway show version of metal. Even 13 year old me thought it was cheesy.

"....Fehn said the masks were a "blessing" because they meant the members are not recognized in public." You can't blame the guy for not wanting to be associated with this.

Sometimes reminds of older bands/songs. But it doesn't add any value.

This album won the 2011 Grammy for Best Album. That seemed ridiculous, so I looked up the nominees expecting to see that someone had been robbed. Nope, just a super weak field.

I really dislike folk music. I REALLY dislike British folk music. This is one of my favorite albums of all times. It's so good that it defies genre.

I love this Album. But it makes no sense to have this album on the list instead of Love (they both should be actually)

I thought i remembered this being good. Clearly I was mistaken. Honestly, I think I just liked the band name.

Oh nice, an album I've never heard of, this is why I'm here! Let's check Wikipedia for it's claim to fame! Oh cool, its signature success is "The album was included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die". Oh great, then I guess I should listen to it because it's on the list that says I should listen to it.

Fuck this circle jerk list. I'll give it 2 stars, because it's not the artist's fault they got dragged into this circle jerk.

More of the fucking Byrds? When will it end? Everybody likes to complain about the number of Elvis Costello albums, but 5 Byrds albums? 5!?!?

The only thing I'll say in their defense is that they do change their sound quite a bit. Unfortunately none of the sounds are good.

This is Spinal Tap.

This is entirely be a joke right? That's cool. I could handle 30secs of the joke. Any more and the joke is on me.

I was a young rap fan in 1991. I saw Ice-T in concert that year. I remembered this being really good. It's not. It's really lame rapping and beats.

Probably my favorite Marley album, and in contention for favorite album over all. I remember my parents buying this when it came out. I was only, but I can clearly remember the orange shag carpet, the record player on wooden boxes, the album sleeve leaning against the speaker, and that SOUND! it mesmerized my then and has never stopped.

That guitar solo on concrete jungle!
Tosh on 400 Years and Stop That Train!
Aston Barrett's bass throughout! But especially, Stir It Up. So simple, so perfect.

Undeniable talent and really well-crafted songs. The smooth jazz just isn't really my thing. If for some reason I did want to put a jazz album on for the evening, I would probably stick with one of the Masters that they emulate. With all that said, I would have no problem hearing this at a party or in the background somewhere.

(Almost loses a start for "A Gospel'. That's just absolutely horrible. I imagine that every musician involved in making that song cringes if they hear it today. But I'll let it slide given the date.)
