I don't have a baseline for this. At face value, it's kind of a whatever 60s album for me. I felt like I was in a fever dream listening to the same song on repeat. 2*

Ughhhh no, should've been left in the 50s. 1*

Bleh dad rock bar music with hints of country. Not my jam at all. It was deeply uninteresting.
Rated 8/10
Very much a background music album, on brand with the title. Was nice, not sure I'd revisit, but I'm not mad for having listened to it. 4*
Rated 6/10
Very 70s-80s smooth r&b kind of album. Was alright, not outstanding for me. 3*

This does sound like radiohead/thom yorke! With possibly the music bombasticness of Muse during The Resistance. Because this is so reminiscent of two bands I love, I don't hate this, but it's maybe a little slow for me. His singing is a bit pretentious and wore me out. 3*

Medieval vibes. Yes, it's weird, but props for being different but actually sounding musical. I hear sitar! I love how white people discovered eastern instruments in the 60s.
From the album cover I thought I was getting into a gospel album. 3*

Never heard of this, but I agree with others it sounds super polished for a punk album, which I really like. Good musicality; these guys feel underrated. 3*

The way I read this as "from-oh-hee-oh" instead of "from ohio."
Sounds like a lot of stuff at warped tour. It's ok, not sure it should be on here.
Rated 6/10
Connected is pretty catchy and I recognized it from before. The rest is ok, nice enough but not worthy of this list. 3*
Highlights: connected
The title of this album really intrigued me, but it's pretty bland for me. 2*
I agree with others, the bubble sound is super annoying.
Rated 2/10
Dead Joe made me want to shoot myself. Weird grunting-singing that is more annoying than anything else.
Trash album, I don't enjoy punk as much as I thought I did. 1*
Rated 4/10
I did NOT enjoy this dude's singing. It sounded like bad, drunk karaoke. 2*
Rated 10/10
Funky French music? Hell yeah, that's what I'm here for. This drips cool. Easy 5*
I would play this for any friends I'm trying to impress with my refined music taste.
Highlights: qui seme le vent...

This album is a vibe. Just great fun and sax times. Easy 5*

This is supposed to be blues? Sounds like tacky, pseudo-tribal 80s production. It was fine, nothing I needed to listen to. 2*
Rated 4/10
No, I did not need to hear this uninspired album before I died. Why is this on here?
Rated 8/10
Ooo baba o'riley and behind blue eyes? Excited for this. I'm not ashamed to say I learned about behind blue eyes because of the limp bizkit version.
Not every track is a banger, but very strong album, 4*

If you made a bell curve of the albums on this list, it would skew so heavily to 70s/80s it's not even funny. We need to inject some millenial/genZ influence on this boomer list.
This is dated, VERY 80s, and not a standout at all. 1* out of spite for having to listen to so much filler garbage.
Rated 8/10
YABA!
(Yet Another Brit(pop) Album)
I was ready to shit on this, but more enjoyable than expected. Like elevator/cruise background music. Does it merit being on this list though? 4*, enjoyed it quite a bit.
Marine boy felt like Pinball wizard was about to come on.
Sometimes I wonder who gave the authors of this book the authority to pick these albums. Maybe 1001 was too big a number -- after you've done the obvious ones, there's gotta be filler.
