There were a lot of songs on this album, I listened to the tracklist on wikipedia. Cool piano in mick's blessings. Otherwise, kinda bland, and did not enjoy the singing. 2*

I enjoy brass. His voice could be annoying/over the top at times. 3*
Highlights: i'm just looking

Meh, very mid album. Not a fan of Rod Stewart, but this album was very inoffensive. 2*
Rated 6/10
Goofy energetic album. Good vibes, tbh. 3*
Rated 8/10
Only knew ready or not and killing me softly before, but the rest was enjoyable. I enjoy more melodic hip hop albums like this one (for lack of a better descriptor). Skits continue to be dumb af. 4*
Highlights: ready or not, zealots, killing me softly
Rated 6/10
Don't know how to describe it. Technically from the 80s, but didn't have that overproduced/synthy quality I associate with that. I liked it, 3*
Rated 8/10
I actually kind of like this. It's very reminiscent of that era of alternative music, and hit right on a Monday morning. Maybe not worthy of the list, but I liked it overall. 4*.
As a spanish speaker, I found "todo los dolores" hard to listen to. It was like a preschooler throwing spanish words he knew together into a children's song.
Highlights: fall
Rated 8/10
I don't have the ability to tell good from bad jazz. This was good, but not sure I'd revisit? I appreciate the skill.
Rated 6/10
Funky, doesn't sound like it's from the 60s. Enjoyable enough, 3*
Highlights: mama roux
What a goofy little album cover. Some of it was nice (but basic) instrumental music, some of it was very experimental (zopf). Overall, ok. 3*, the average of the nice tracks and the too-experimental-for-me tracks.
Rated 4/10
First full snoop album for me. I think. I recognized "gin and juice." The rest was meh. 2*
Rated 6/10
It's very much that early 2000s alternative sound. I'm into it, and I love how atmospheric "my girls" is.
Highlights: my girls
Rated 6/10
High energy dad rock. Still dad rock, but hard to see this as the same band from "smoke on the water."
Rated 2/10
Holy mother of noisy reverb, so obnoxious.
Rated 8/10
This started off so funky, but the singing/speaking was so weird.
The last three tracks (By the river, through hollow lands, spider and I) were really pretty. Overall, pretty meh, but the last 3 tracks bumped this up to 4* for me.
You know what? THIS being my 1001st album (instead of something high quality) actually epitomizes this list extremely well. A wise reviewer once said, "maybe there aren't 1001 albums worth listening to."
1 second in and I already know this is 1*. Starting with screaming, and claiming this is blues? The f?
Rated 10/10
My 1000th album! Never heard it before, but reviews are positive.
Very 80s but not obnoxiously so. Other than the songs that are still popular, all was new to me. Bass was funky as hell. 5*
Highlights: hungry like the wolf, rio, hold back the rain (very catchy)
Rated 2/10
This is the 999th album for me, and I kinda hope this site's developer hard-coded/queued up something good for the momentous 1000th/1001st album (I know there's more than 1001 now, but it's a milestone).
This is my FIFTH (!!!) Tom Waits album, and this dude can fuck right off. I gave 3/4 albums 1*, and this one is to join that gang after 1.5 songs. 1*
I'm usually not the biggest fan of live albums, they tend to disappoint. This had great energy, and I liked Sam's gritty voice. 4*
Rated 4/10
A singer-songwriter-ish country album. Very meh, very not interesting. 2*
