I read the name of this album and thought, “oh no.” Then I saw its genre and I thought, “ugh no thanks.” Then I started track one and heard his voice and it confirmed my suspicions. 20 seconds later it clicked. I didn’t love a couple of these songs but the rest were excellent. I’m glad I gave this a chance because albums like this are why I began this project.

This was fun from beginning to end. I listened to more Louis afterwards which is a first for me as I work through this list.

This is fortunately/unfortunately very nostalgic for me. I’ve heard this album hundreds of times so I feel like I’m sort of conditioned to love it.

Jesus Christ. I know there’s got to be a techno album out there for me but this list is making me seriously doubt it.

As a guitar player I’ve always been intrigued by J Mascis but never enough to listen to a Dinosaur Jr. album until today. I liked this enough to listen to more from them but I’m still not sold.

I think I love this era of music way more than I like Elvis. I want to give this a 4 based on the instrumentation and the harmonies but this dude married a child. 3 stars.

I loved the first half of this one but the back half wasn’t nearly as good. Overall still a great record!

This was fine overall and I liked the blend of genres but as far as having great songs nothing ever stuck out to me.
