Busy arrangements, but nicely controlled. The band is smoking. Garage rock/prog/indie/psych/math rock elements. Not sure there's many songs here, although they do try a little songwriting.

Some of the production is nicely textured, but almost all the songs are boring. The vocals grate.

Interesting. I like the adventurous spirit and a lot of the sounds and vibes are cool. It does try the patience in parts, possibly intentionally.

Not even the best Led Zeppelin album. (IV - Physical Graffiti - II - I - III - Houses of The Holy - Presence - In Through the Out Door).
It's still a classic. Led Zeppelin are the greatest rock band of all time.

I love the texture and the general oddness of the sound. It's clear the Twins were feeling inspired when they made this. The confidence is audible.

I loved it at the time. It hasn't grown with me. It sounds too serious and portentous. The band just chug along, carried by the strings and production. Knowing about the singer's private life doesn't help either.

The production on this is superb. Everything is balanced and every instrument has clarity and a place in the mix. I enjoyed the songs and I will, probably, return to this to give it more time.

Rocking fun. I love how obnoxious the Beasties sound. Must have really scared some of the squares. The beats slam. The big songs are all-time bangers.

Rocking stuff. Loads of energy. Steve Albini's production is perfect for these songs. Raw and direct.

Nah. Greasy, American shit. There's some evidence that they can play their instruments and there's a little bit of spirit, but this is b-league music.

Enjoyed this. Old school style dance music. I can taste the ecstacy. Listening in very hot Italy and it suits the blistering surroundings.

This is a trip. I may have pooh-poohed Hawkwind for being hippies. I was missing the point. Long, psychedelic passages with wah-wah guitars while everything chugs along is a great recipe. Oh, and saxophones! And Orgone Accumulators!
