This was very violent, very graphic, disturbing, but you can't deny that this is an amazing hip hop album. One of the best of all times. I loved it. I agree that it didn't age well when it comes to the homophobia in the lyrics, it's kinda hard to listen to that, but almost everyone was like this back then sadly. Also, this is hip hop, it's supposed to be controversial and to make you angry, and looking at lyrics from newer hip hop, rap or trap, this becomes a masterpiece just because of how childish some new songs sound. Think of Stan, that is a whole movie in a 6 minute song. There are very few that can write as well as Eminem.

I got really bored. I can't believe this is from 2003. I get that there are bands that are trying to sound vintage, but why do they need to be included here if there is virtually NOTHING different from older bands that are on this list. Really, I am ok with new music that sounds vintage if it has at least something that anchors it to the modern age. This ain't it for me.

This is regarded as one of the most important electro records of all time. I can understand to be honest. It's very cool and really good ambiental music. I knew about it and I liked it pretty much. I can't say I would put it on at all times, but it's a very good listen and the best thing to have as a background while working.

I wouldn't listen to this voluntarily, but it was very fun. I started doing Irish dances and unknowingly opened a can of beer. Very fun, but just in this context.

This probably had a helping hand in the emergence of punk rock, so it's appreciated. Sadly, it didn't really do much for me. It's fine but just not something I would voluntarily listen to.

Ok, so for 1979, this sounds pretty groundbreaking. Almost robotic sounding, but I guess that was the intention. It wasn't incredible, I can't say I enjoyed it that much, but it was an ok listen.

It's a shame it starts with Take On Me. Although it has some great songs, it just loses its momentum. Nevertheless, this is a pretty good record, I have no bad comment about it. All the songs are fun.

I wasn't blown away, but I liked it. Raw energy and simple songs that work well. It wasn't a boring listen, just not something mind blowing, it was decent.

AmnesiacRadiohead

Rated 10/10

There was a time I only knew about The Bends. The first thing from Radiohead outside that album that just popped up on my Spotify was Knives Out. It felt like a one way trip to the isolation of my own mind. I loved it. I love this album as a whole more than Kid A actually, because it has kind of a jazzy feel to it. It just makes me introspect. I am one of those very very few people that love HTTT and Amnesiac more than Kid A and In Rainbows. Sue me! This is a 5 star record.

Before embarking on this 1001 journey, I didn't really care for Radiohead. But now they are one of my favourites. That being said, I regret so much giving In Rainbows just a 3 when I think about other records on this list that I gave a 3. But I wasn't such a big fan then, so that's it. However, this record is a lot more enjoyable for me believe it or not. It's one of my favourites, and I actually like it more than In Rainbows and Kid A. I can't figure out why, but I like it very much. It's a 5 for me!

Tom Waits, and I also wait for him to have good music that I can rate higher. I guess I can wait my whole life and that won't ever happen.

This is not what I was expecting at all. It was so diverse and fun, I had a good time listening to this record. A fun mix of R&B, hip hop, jazz and a bit latin infused, truly fun album overall. Great vocals as well.

Eminem is one of my favourite artists, and this record is his beginning, and it's very good. But I can say that because of some of the lyrics it didn't age well at all. I am waiting for the Marshall Mathers LP as that one is more mature and it has way better songs. Anyway, even though this is worse than I remembered, I still liked a big part of it. In the end, this is the start of a living legend.

HejiraJoni Mitchell

Rated 2/10

This felt like music with a lady talking on pitch over it, but boring music and songs that are too long. No changes in any song and they are just to long. I get that this is supposed to be storytelling but I didn't like it.

I never liked Iggy Pop that much so this is just ok for me. I liked the instrumentals more than the vocals.
