If someone asks you the question, "Oasis or Blur?", the answer should be a resounding "fuck off you cunt".

Definitely better than This Is Hardcore, a high 3. Although, I found a few songs more annoying, and overall the albums a bit samey

I always forget how good Deep Purple are. Machine Head is easily their best album. Great drumming, excellent bass, and even better guitars. This album is much sharper than In Rock too, which seemed to drift along a bit too much. There isn't a song I don't enjoy on here, which I don't find all that common.

The coked up energetic songs were really fun, and Prima's got a great voice. Swing music ain't usually my thing, but I enjoyed this

There definitely is a time and a place for this sort of music. That scenario that one reviewer described is probably perfect for it. But for me, the idea of getting people in to essentially laugh at you whilst you ramble on doesn't sit right. If it was a live album it'd feel more authentic, but otherwise it feels quite a bit tinpot.

I can definitely see myself going to some old fashioned diner, or a smoky jazz bar, with a giant bottle of whiskey in the middle of the table, chain smoking with friends, but the reality is that this sort of atmosphere just doesn't exist - at least not anymore. Makes the album feel quite performative.

Therefore, for home listening the rambling between songs becomes too long, especially for 75 minute album. But the actual songs I can enjoy at certain moods. The music behind Tom was good too - the bass player I liked and the piano player even more.

My listening experience as of right now probably warrants a 1, but there are times - and more specifically, places - where I can definitely enjoy this, so I deem a 1 too harsh, albeit these times to be rare.

After having 3 other Leonard Cohen albums I could've told you exactly what the album would've sounded like. There's no need for 5 of his albums on here, they sound the same - I'm Your Man was different, ironically though I thought it was the worst of the 4 I've had so far

Honestly, I'd never really realised how good her voice was until now. And it's not just some generic 2000s pop stuff either, some of the music behind her was really really good.

My favourites were Fighter, Make Over, and Dirrty. The main thing holding this back though is it's length, but other than that I can't really complain.

A 2 - as Ian Smith would say - by the barest of margins. Those first 3 songs were absolutely atrocious. It got better with Stillness Is The Move - being the best song on the album - and the one after that was OK.

If that bloke never sang again the world would be a better place for it.

There's definitely a time and a place for this album, it just doesn't come up very often. If I ever have all my family killed or when Bruno Fernandes leaves United I'll put this one on

Disappointing. There's so much potential in this album to have been better than Moon Safari, but I feel like that because it's made for a movie that it's held them back a bit from making it more exciting or comprehensive. They've made it into background noise, which obviously is fine for a movie, but when you're listening to it normally it sounds flat and uninspired.

There are some good parts to this, and there is definitely a great album in here somewhere, but it just meanders along without making much of an impact. Maybe a harsh 2, but this could have been better without the movie.
