I really love PJ Harvey, the tone of her music is so dark and so "fuck off, leave me alone" that I really enjoy listening to her

It sounds like some sort of historic milestone… Ok!
Great, I’m happy for you all ;-)

I'll just emphasize what other reviewer escreveu, ok?
"Boring, forgettable. You really have to wonder how some of these albums make it onto this list."

I liked it a lot; very pleasant to listen to, in fact ;-)
However, it wasn't the most appropriate choice for listening to at work, it's quite melancholy

Amazing album, still holds it's originality, power and controversy!
This is a 5 star, for sure ;-)

Dude, what on earth is this?!?

I remember well when this album was released - or rather, how the tracks ‘Frozen’ and ‘Ray of Light’ made quite an impact on young and old alike. The best thing about it was, really, seeing how Madonna reinvented herself and managed, once again, to stand the test of time. That’s why I give it a 4
As for the album itself, the singles mentioned are the best bits; the rest tend to fade into the background amidst the tedium and the sort of music you might hear playing in some dimly lit bar

I was already at university when a mate told me about this band; the bloke was really into the rockabilly scene, which seemed a bit of a paradox at the time and already a bit outdated (1989 - 1990). But I found their songs quite funny. With this project, I’m finding myself with an increasingly strong punk side! My problem is that I can’t listen to this sort of music for very long at a stretch - that is, an album or two, fine, I have a right good laugh and it gives me energy! A whole week of this and I find myself throwing up my guts…
Anyway, a 4 for the good bits and -1 for the rest

I’ve always loved the Madchester sound, and whenever I listen to these guys, I just feel like dancing <3
To hell with the haters

A brilliant discovery, something a bit outside my comfort zone, something I’d never heard of before. I agree with those who say it’s because of things like this that the project is worthwhile. 5/5

Is there anything else that needs to be said or written?

I remember going to the house of a friend of mine, who was about two or three years older than me, in the early 80s! This album was part of his collection, even though quite a few years had passed since Peter Gabriel left the band and Phil Collins was already making his mark as the new frontman of Genesis.
He put it on the record player for us to listen to, and even back then, it was far too complex and long for us to listen to the whole thing in one go.
We stopped it and went back out onto the street to play a bit of football!
It’s funny to realise now that I’m getting that same feeling again; but I’m no longer young enough to go and kick a ball about in the street (and there are far too many cars there these days!) - anyway, a 3 for its historical value and significance

It's folk, folks! Beautifully crafted and relaxing tunes
It is just not to be listen at work, while you have a ton shit of stuff to do :-(
Solid 4, and the promise to give this another listening, a proper one ;-)

Okay, so is this the album these guys have been singing “Sweet Emotion” and “Walk This Way” from for over 50 years now?!?!?!
For this one, I’m going to have to use a formula:
(5 for “Walk This Way” + 5 for “Sweet Emotion”) / 9 tracks * 1 = 1.1
I also think 1 is unfair; let’s do it this way then—2 for “Walk This Way” + 2 for “Sweet Emotion” and forget about the others—all things considered, nine out of ten, that’s a 4
Sorry, phew, that was a tough one :-(
Rated 6/10
Except for “Sex on Fire,” I don’t think there’s anything worth listening to here
Rated 10/10
5... Perfect 5... Just... Perfect... 5
Anything less would be a crime :-)

Purely historical reasons - and the respect I know is due to this giant of Latin music, Tito Puente - lead me to give this album 3 stars.
But let me be very clear: Latin music just isn’t my thing! Or rather, bossa nova, MPB, and fusion tango - like that of the Gotan Project or Bajofondo - are fine; as for the rest, it’s just not my cup of tea.
Rated 8/10
I’ve always found The Divine Comedy funny - and this mini-album features “Everybody Knows That I Love You.” For that alone, 3 stars. But since I had a good time with the rest of it, I’m bumping it up to 4. And also because I’ve given 4 stars to other albums that might not be as good as this one, so I have to give it that rating.
Darn, I’m starting to compare the ratings I’ve given to one album versus another - this isn’t good, this isn’t good at all - I think I’m going to start questioning all of this once again :'-(
Rated 8/10
I must definitely have something punk in me
I’m catching up on all the albums I couldn’t listen to on the very day the album generator showed them to me, and this is yet another album (they call it protopunk or a pioneer of that genre - I’m not sure!) that I really enjoyed; it’s a lot of fun to listen to
A solid 4 and a promise to come back to it soon ;-)
Rated 4/10
Two for the beats, nil for the lyrics :-(
