God this got boring quick. I don’t mind longer albums but when they feel longer than they already are, that’s when I start to have a problem
Rated 4/10
Strange pop.
Rated 6/10
No need for it to be a double album, although I'm not 100% sure what I might cut. Good, but too long and sloppy, and not as tight as a punk album should be (if it is to be great)
Rated 8/10
I have tried for years to get through this entire album. I think this is the closest I've ever come, but Spotify fucked my queue up so binaural sleep music interjected at a certain point towards the end (what? It's good for sleeping!). I think I missed a couple of songs towards the end. I finally understood why they called themselves Minutemen... their songs are only a couple of minutes long. Which is so punk rock. But for this to have come out in 1984 blows my mind. It's very progressive for punk rock. I always forget the Jackass theme song Corona comes from this album. Not every song thrills me, but there are enough cool little snippets to keep me interested. I wish some of the songs were longer but than they'd no longer be the Minutemen, they'd be everyone else and that is not so punk rock. I may not have liked every song, but the influence this album had on punk rock even through today is undeniable.

Not horrible for punk. 2.23

Exceptional attitude pace and melody. The Twin songs each under two minutes is genius and I never find myself missing the length. Punk perfection.
Rated 6/10
I saw it was punk and wasn't super stoked, but it's very funky which is right up my alley. Some songs are ska, which was enjoyable. The jackass theme song is from this album?!
A lot of good moments, some bleh. I will say that because the songs are short the whole thing being long wasn't overwhelming like similar length albums. 3*
Highlights: viet nam, corona, my heart and the real world
Rated 8/10
Veery good but a bit too many songs. A little too long
Rated 4/10
It's long in tracks whcih was intimdating when starting the album, In reality the songs are short length, quick, loud and catchy. Quality punk!! but not something I would listen to again
Favourite song: Nothing really jumped out to me as a wow song. Nothing was long enough to lend itself to be a favourtie.
Least favourite: cohesion. I couldnt see the point in this song.
Album artwork: Meh

There’s a lot going on here. Likely more than I can appreciate in a single listen. Musically it’s jazzy post punk with a palpable Talking Heads and Joy Division influence.

Who puts 45 songs on one record? I gave up after the first ten
Rated 4/10
I'm giving this album a 2.
I hate everything about this band, this album, everything. But it gives me a very specific nostalgia that I can't help but feel happy. I hate that the most.
Rated 8/10
feels like a collection of songs, not an album
but overall good/great tracks!
Rated 6/10
When i saw the amount of songs that Double Nickels On The Dime had, i wasn't going in with the highest expectations to say the least. But thankfully, to my surprise, this album was actually fairly decent. Unlike a certain OTHER long album i have done, This one cut a rather quick pace with every song being under 3 minutes. The songs were also fairly interesting in their own right too. This might not be my favorite structure for an album but I'd argue it could have been handled a lot worse.
Best Song: West Germany
Worst Song: Take 5, D.
Rated 4/10
What in the heck is this album? it reminds me of a band doing an extended set at a house party. Maybe Partying Will Help fits the vibe. This Ain't No Picnic is also in there.
Rated 4/10
These guys are like a punk jam band. The songs are all still like 1:30 long, but the singer only sings for maybe 30 seconds of each song, so I guess that's punk's version of a jam band. It's a double album. 43 songs. Still gets done in 1hr 14 mins. They just seem to amble about and not really accomplish much. I mean it's not bad, but it just has no direction. Interestingly, they apparently did the Jack Ass theme song, Corona.
Favourite songs: Corona, My Heart and the Real World, Viet Nam, The Roar of the Masses Could Be Farts, #1 Hit Song
Least favourite songs: "Take 5, D.", You Need the Glory, Nature Without Man, No Exchange, Jesus and Tequila

I have never heard any of this before and that's a fucking shame because this was so great. Fucking great. Why didn't I listen to this in my youth? Reevaluating my life. Wtf. Sigh. Tho---at least I've got it now, at 52. Never too late!!
Rated 8/10

You can hear its influence. esp RHCP
Song called Toadies - did they get their name here? Jackass theme song "Corona"??
Don't look now - cool live song

I'm so relieved this doesn't sound how it looks.
