Perfectly pleasant, if bland, country!

Нічого не очікував, але загалом навіть сподобалось. Таке кантрі я можу слухати і назва добре відповідає цій музиці - щось таке вечірнє, розслаблене.

The Good: Finally an album about what we do at night!
The Bad: Finding out that our parents find out what we do at night…
The Ugly: Well, the getting caught part…
When the intro portion to this album started, I was all like “hey, that’s the song which BB King and Willie Nelson recorded together!!!” and then someone stats talking over it…
Was this a bad album? No
Is this something that I am placing on my frequent rotation? No
I have to say that Mr Price at times was confusing the hell out of me, as he sounds a little too close to The King—Not BB, the Elvis kind…
It’s all nice and such, but also too, I don’t know, repetitive?
Anyway, I will give the album 3* and leave it at that...

Sad crooner stuff. Not crazy about it for the most part. Check out Mark Lanegan’s rendition of “Lonely Street”, though.

Better than Coldplay

It was alright, very old country album.
Rated 8/10
I love country music from inception to about the year 2000, and this is no exception. I haven't listened to any lately, and album inspires me to listen to some of my old favorites next.
Thanks, Ray Price. Nice to meet you, and thanks for the music

Nope :-(

Maybe I'm sick of 80s new wave and generic rock, maybe it was the day that was in it, but I enjoyed this.
3.5/5. Raising to 4.

We need some kind of different scale for pre Beatles albums. It’s a 3 maybe even 4 pre Beatles. But it’s a 2 today.

“Yeah so I drank a bottle of gin and battered my girlfriend. I’ve had a lot of time to reflect whilst in jail and listen... I’m not saying I definitely won’t do it any again but I’ll at least leave a little gap before i do”
- Ray Price on ‘Sittin & Thinkin’, 1963.

So 60s western music is one of my least favorite styles of music. I just hate everything about it. It's sappy, cheesy, I hate the steel guitar, the vocals usually have that warble-y quality that just grates on my soul. I was gonna hate this one from the get-go. But I'll add a star because I do like Night Life, all versions of that song are pretty decent, and Willie Nelson on bass is kind of cool. Grudging 2/5.

Nothing inherently wrong with this album, it was entertaining to listen to but not a lot drawing me back either. Pretty mid really 2.5

Liked it on first listen but second time around was very drab
Rated 8/10
Great little album, really matched a laid back Saturday vibe, I was hungover. But this worked nicely for my walk in the rain.

I've never wanted to go to the honkeytonk so badly

Couldn’t finish

What a kind introduction. Is this the same dude that did some of the songs in new vegas? Nice voice, not my genre, but still very soothing.
I hate the phrase "honky tonk angel."
Not sure it stood the test of time, lots of better albums out there, but it's ok. 3*

Don't really have a huge appreciation for this era and sound of music, but it was pleasant
