Just the right side of noise.

One of my favorite Ty Segall albums. I think it's super underrated amongst his discography. It's weirder than most of his stuff and pushes his sound into new territories. I almost get Tobacco vibes at points.

That was fine. Some of the songs were a little too obnoxiously whiny.

I really enjoyed the guitar tone in this. A solid 4/5; would listen again.

This was alright, not my sort of thing but fine.

Lots of noisy/chunky guitar and I dug it.

Album fell off there a bit at the end. After Candy Sam, it was all downhill from there.
Favorite songs: Diversion, Candy Sam, Californian Hills, Squealer
Least favorite songs: W.u.o.t.w.s., Baby Big Man (I Want a Mommy), The Magazine

Really good live, just a happy guy enjoying the moment. Not sure if it quite translates to an album though: it does get stuck in a rut.

Midway through the 2010s was a really strong period of Garage/Psych rock. King Gizzard’s kind of evolved in the last ten years to take up Phish’s torch, but the rest of them for some reason haven’t really broken their Scene containment into much of a mainstream.
This one is very much part of all that stuff; space alien vocal affect aside, it leans lots more Garage than Psych. Pretty fun!

Beck without the talent. Worth a listen, but didn't inspire me to explore any of his other (many) albums.

Enjoyed this, but just not sure enough to
Come back to.

Like Marc Bolan fronting Black Sabbath with John Cale behind the boards.
