I liked the last Stevie Wonder album I was given, "Innervisions". The music style here is a progressive soul. I love Wonder's passionate voice and piano playing, it gives me chills sometimes. This album was more serious-sounding than the previous (though there were catchy and funky songs too). Highlights for me were "Too Shy To Say" (I liked the octave changes in the verses) and "They Won't Go When I Go" (so darkly beautiful).

Несподівано сподобався альбом. Я не великий шанувальний Стіві Вандера і його класичні альбоми мені якось ніяк. А тут було доволі приємно, поставив би 3.5

Stevie the GOAT taking swings at Nixon. Dude never misses. How was he able to make a zillion albums and they're all great???

First listen. Absolutely fantastic. I loved all the chord changes. What a beautiful album.

Didn't really care for the slow songs other than "They Won't Go When I Go," which is layered perfectly and blasts passionate soul into your bones. My other favorite two songs were "Boogie On Reggae Woman" which was an upbeat funk fest and Please Don't Go, just an overall enjoyable tune. I liked this album more than I thought I would. 3/5

Fulfillingness’ First Finale is another album with that unmistakable Stevie Wonder sound. It’s warm, soulful, beautifully produced and full of great musicianship. I enjoyed listening to it, although of the Stevie Wonder albums I’ve heard during this challenge, I think this is probably the weakest.
One of the great things this challenge has done is properly introduce me to the absolute brilliance of Stevie Wonder. Before starting it, I knew the obvious hits, but listening to the albums has made me appreciate just how fantastic a songwriter and musician he is.
There are some excellent songs here. “Boogie On Reggae Woman” is wonderfully funky and was probably the highlight for me, while “You Haven’t Done Nothin’” has a bit of that brilliant “Superstition” feel to it. “Heaven Is 10 Zillion Light Years Away” is another standout and shows the more thoughtful side of his songwriting.
The slower tracks don’t always have the same immediacy, and there are moments where the album drifts a little. But even when it does, the quality of the musicianship means there’s always something worth listening to. It’s a good album rather than a great Stevie Wonder album.
Again, I like Fulfillingness’ First Finale, and there’s nothing here I particularly disliked, but it’s never going to be my Stevie Wonder album of choice. When you’ve made albums as good as Songs in the Key of Life, the competition is pretty tough!
Favourite tracks: I really enjoyed “Boogie On Reggae Woman”, “Too Shy to Say” and “Please Don’t Go”.
Least favourite tracks: Nothing really. Everything on the album is worth a listen.
Album artwork: Classic Stevie Wonder album cover. Simple, colourful and instantly memorable.

I’m sorry, Stevie. It’s not you, it’s me.

Spent a lot of this thinking ‘great but no ones I know on here’ and then They Won’t Go When I Go awoke me like a sleeper agent.
Anyway, great album. Not his best but that’s an insane bar.

You Haven’t Done Nothing and the last track have some liveliness to them. The rest is a whole lotta meh.

Classic Stevie Wonder, building on the foundation of Innervisions while taking a more chill, introspective path. It gets overlooked compared to his biggest masterpieces, but I find it’s got a sophisticated brilliance that really grows on you. It swaps the non-stop radio hits for a bit more emotional weight, warm harmonies, and some beautiful, atmospheric soul. But hey, when he wants to turn it up, he still kills it, the Moog bass and weird rhythms on "Boogie On Reggae Woman" are pure genius, showing he can still get you moving even when he’s keeping things low-key.
Rated 8/10
I like Stevie Wonder, but of course even he doesn’t have an endless number of albums that are true classics. In my opinion, “Fulfillingness’ First Finale” is quite clearly the weakest of the four Stevie Wonder albums listed here, and I probably wouldn’t have included it in this list. That’s not to say it’s bad by any means, but it just doesn’t have those standout moments like, for example, “Superstition.” For me, it’s a very clear four stars.

It's Stevie Wonder. It's fantastic. What did you expect.

This is good but not quite as mind-blowing as his other records on here.

Some soulful joints to put you in a beautiful mood!
Standouts: Boogie On Reggae Woman • You Haven't Done Nothin' • It Ain't No Use

never heard it before, despite the fact that it was released between sitkol and innervisions. wanted to like it more, but the ballads feel a lil weak for me. 3.5
