Rated 8/10
Solid psychedelic rock! Could replace one of the many repeats from the Beatles or other bands that have more than one album on the list.
Rated 6/10
Fairly generic late 70s rock, but the lyrics make it stand out
Rated 8/10
Got more into it as the album went on. Solid enough
Rated 4/10
Melkoista renkutusta ja jokaisessa biisissä hoetaan kyllästymiseen asti lyhyttä kertsiä. Varmaan ollut ihan hauska levy tehdä muttei niinkään kuunnella. 2/5

It seems on modern releases this is a mash of two albums. It has the cover of one and the title of the other. Guess my album today is two albums. Oh well, at least they're both short, and have some.
These were pretty basic occult rock tracks, but there were some decent stand outs, and I agree with the general sentiment that this is far better than the 13th Floor Elevators, but I also feel like this album cover is better than the album inside it.
Roky Erickson and the Aliens (5 Symbols) - 2.5 Stars
The Evil One - 3 Stars

This dude was from the band 13th Floor Elevators (they had an album on the original 1001 list) before breaking off on his own. 13th Floor Elevators were credited with being one of the first psychadelic rock bands ever. He continues with that theme here, leaning more into the psychadelic/horror rock lane. A good album to listen to around Halloween ironically. This is some real good shit! It's like early Alice Cooper or less spacey Hawkwind. I really like it!
In the song Stand for the Fire Demon, Roky Erickson gives me kinda a Dio vibe as well to some degree.
Holy shit this entire album is fucking amazing. I love discovering stuff like this that would have passed me by unnoticed. Thank you to whoever recommended it!

ehhhh. psych rock for a B horror movie.
Rated 8/10
It's a chaotic, horror-obsessed blast of psych-rock and garage energy, full of songs about zombies, vampires, the devil, and aliens.
there's definitely some psychosis at work.
Rated 10/10
Hella catchy, with bizarre but engaging lyrics, by a band who clearly don't take themselves too seriously.
One review (quoted on the wiki page) called it "Led Zeppelin for psychotics," which is probably about right!
Rated 6/10
Enjoyed this good old no thrills classic rock, reminded me a bit of the stones.
Rated 4/10
A lot of fun ideas and moves in this, all of which fail to transcend the extremely stale production sensibilities of the time
Rated 2/10
Fuck you for wasting my time. You had one album to share with the community, and you chose this. You chose this, you fuck.
