I've listened to some of his stuff with his backing band but I like this stripped back version a lot more. It really allows his lyricism and guitar playing to take the forefront. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this.

My new favorite country album. Diverse attitudes and themes, beautiful guitar and voice work, searingly specific lyrics.

Good album just not my cup of tea.
