Good fun.

Didn't know this one. Didn't hate it

I'm old enough to remember the cool kids having 30 Something long-sleeve t-shirts in the 90s, and I'm also old enough to realise that these "cool" kids weren't actually that cool, it's just that I thought they were cool.

A bit like Carter themselves, weird and gawky and not quite like any other band before or since (except Pulp, maybe), but somehow funny and cynical and smart at the same time. I feel like it's one of the few albums that's better than I remember it, if only because I understand it more now.

Cut my listen short at the end of the original track listing, because I am staunchly anti-deluxe-editions for the purposes of this project.

I went in skeptical, but this really won me over. Delivers on a kind of maximalism that I feel like only could have come out of the 90s

a sardonic thoroughly infectious british dance affair. I love it.

Like a south London version of Half man Half biscuit, but not quite as good or as funny. The b-sides and live takes on the expanded edition add context, but at no point does this sound like anything other than a full band - they make quite a racket for a duo.

Some name for a band, as you would expect from the name an equally chaotic album. I did enjoy this though.
