After the first song I wasn’t super stoked to hear the rest. It was very disco, and I’m not anti disco, but I didn’t think I’d enjoy an entire album of it. However, aside from that track, and the title song, which has been played to death at this point, the rest of the album was lovely. I would gladly listen to this again.

As soon as i put this on and heard the first few notes of "He's the Greatest Dancer" I thought 5. That distinctive Chic style twin rhythm guitar and bass. What an opener.
I think having this album pop up on a Friday did it a big favour. I'm an aging rocker but never been one to shy away from a dancefloor. With headphones on it was difficult to keep still.
It's amazing to think all of the Sister Sledge bangers are on the one album. A couple of the slower tracks brought it down to earth a little bit, but it's still a brilliant disco album.

Did Sister Sledge ever bother releasing a “best of” compilation or did they realise people could just buy this?
Rated 6/10
solid soul album
Rated 8/10
disco é delicinha d+ nao tem jeito!
Rated 10/10
Brilliant. I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did. I played it twice in a row, to make sure. So groovy. A great find.
Rated 8/10
The Good: We’re keeping it in the family!
The Bad: Shouldn’t it be Sisters Sledge?
The Ugly: Well… it’s disco music!
Holy shit! Though I dreaded having to listen to it, as the wikipage reminded me that this is just a clone of Chic, I was really happy with the experience as these ladies do a much better job than Chic ever did—this is my opinion, for what it's worth.
Album just flew by, not really a single song that I did not like… and boy oh boy the amount of hits is impressive.
So, here’s to the sisters and their short-lived success 4 1/2*

70er Disco Klassiker „We are Family“ & „Lostcin Music“ machen das Hören zur Party, leider etwas zu eindimensional.
Rated 10/10
Up there with the best and most innovative albums of the 70s, there's so much range here but the songs are also so catchy. They pushed things forwards as much as Kraftwerk and Eno.
Rated 10/10
From one sister to another. May be my favorite disco album of all time. He's the Greatest Dancer and Lost in Music are some of the best disco tracks ever made and the rest is just a nice bonus on top of that. I love the bass and the groove here. The songs feel like they could go on until the end of time and I wouldn't really mind. Not all tracks are as strong but the highs in this album more than make up for it.
Rated 6/10
While this is nice sounding disco music, it repeated lyrics a lot.
Rated 10/10
The front half of this album is funky disco perfection. and the back half. this whole thing is 24k dripping Chic gold.
Rated 10/10
I can't help it; I like disco.
Rated 8/10
funky grooves. i wasnt expecting to like this due to my familiarity with the title track but it wasn't as bad as expected
Rated 8/10
Post disco greatness.
Rated 10/10
loved it front to back. I got suuucked in during the first 3 seconds of this one. No disco record is gonna beat this one im sure
Rated 8/10
The vocals on this were decent, but I was more focused on how insanely good the bass and guitar work were.
Some disco type music can be repetitive, soulless and over-produced but this had me hooked. I would be dancing to this after a few on a Friday night
Title track was by far the best song on the album. Went slightly downhill after that but still a great album
Rated 6/10
Sister Sledge didn't mean anything to me. It was only when I listened to the album that I recognized many of the songs. The music is actually not bad. I didn't know You're a friend to me and it's the track I like best. The vocals are really good. But overall the album is so disco and I don't like disco. 3/5
Rated 10/10
WOW. This is great.
Perfect for a Monday morning walk to work cos of the feel good vibes and perfect brisk walking speed tempo.
Maybe lags slightly at the end if I had to find a negative.
Rated 10/10
I should listen to more disco. Lost in Music is the theme tune of this exercise.
