What a bad hang. This music sounds like a pharmaceutical ad. The album is an insincere and misguided mess, & listening to it makes me question whether or not I'm a functional member of society.

No thanks. Sex on Fire was the bane of my life for a good 2 years. Still hate hearing it 17 years later (I'm old).

Meh. Nothing special. The singer's voice grew more and more annoying the longer the album went on. 3/10

I was fearing the worst here, so it could only end up being better than expected. Sex on fire is still an awful song that rock stations only play so they can say they also play modern rock. The other songs ranged from bad (17) to pretty enjoyable (the opener, Closer). It's not really bad music, but it's very milquetoast and wholly generic because of it. The singing is a bit hit or miss, it does work for some tracks. Not an album I'd listen to again, but I'd be lying if I called it one of the worst albums on here.

And here’s the sellout album. Alt rock radio milked everything this album had (shoutout Philly radio 104.5). It’s still solid though. Favorite songs were Crawl, Sex On Fire, Use Somebody, and Revelry.

Overwrought late oughts rock.

ive never understood the appeal of these guys. ive always thought their big singles were pretty average yet those were the better tracks from the album. also considering this came out in 2008, no one thought to tell these guys that grown men singing about teenagers wasn't acceptable anymore?
Rated 6/10
Expected to hate it because of how overplayed the singles are, but it's listenable!
Rated 4/10
Not as bad as their other album on this list, but not great by any stretch of the imagination. Loses a star for the creepy ass sing about underage girls.
Rated 10/10
Not quite as weird and wonderful as Aha Shake Heartbreak but still a tremendous voice and spectacular sound

čobančad uzvraća udarac! ovog puta polazi im za rukom da zvuče još lošije nego na prvom albumu. dosta bi ovoga bilo...
Rated 2/10
For the first couple tracks I was thinking “this may not be as bad as I expected” given how much I loathe the singles, but as the record went on I realized it really is just as terrible as I had thought. Like Coldplay, what makes it even worse is that there’s occasionally a cool riff or something that makes you realize they could have done something much better but instead chose to make this.

This was my favorite of the Kings of Leon albums and I would listen to this one again over the others. Bonus that my daughter liked it.
Rated 8/10
Kings of leon is on this list multiple times?! This is the one album of theirs I can conceive of being here.
Very overplayed in its time, his voice was really grating to me. It's ok but kind of generic rock when I hear it now, still enjoyed more tracks than I thought I would. 4*
Highlights: use somebody, sex on fire (it's just nostalgic at this point), notion, cold desert

The first two songs were great. I was hoping this would be better than their radio hits. I was let down. It turned into a vanilla, boring, unimaginative record that I’ve already forgotten. 2.5/5
Rated 4/10
his voice makes me want to cut 6 lanes without signaling

There is 0 fucking chance that this band needed 3 goddamn albums on the list. This is the best one of the three but god do I loathe this band.
Rated 2/10
Horse shit.
They toured with U2 and thought 'we could make lots of money.' This is not music made with creativity or connection in mind. It is concerned with making money. The worst thing about it, is that it worked. People bought this shit in their millions. Cheers, people.

That was so good for a 2000's pop rock album, wow. Yes, it did have the pop rock sound but it also managed to mix it with some post riffs and general post-ish vibes, which was very pleasant to hear. The album also fit well to my sleepy mood I had at the moment of listening. I would actually recommend.
