Loved this! I'm old, but I really liked the late 2010s sound, that kind of dark synth influenced by that OneOhTrix guy. But her voice adds another layer.

Rated 6/10

It's been a long time since I've listened to a contemporary R&B album that I didn't dislike, to be honest.
This album feels a lot more intimate and it is helped by the remarkably languid beats and floaty synths throughout the album.
With electronica influences from the decades beforehand and here and there a little Prince throwback this is a listen best done while lazying on the couch with your headphones.

Rated 6/10

Vähän tälläsen modernin Pitchfork Best New Album-poppiksen ongelma eli ihan hyvä mut vähän tylsä. Ehkä en oo kohdeyleisöä. 3/5.

Rated 6/10

Weer zo'n plaat waarvan ik niet begrijp waarom ik deze moet horen. Niet zoveel mis mee hoor. Maar een 13 in een dozijn-plaat. Geen missers, geen uitschieters.

Rated 8/10

Really good, very modern and polished, sounds expensive and lush.

Rated 4/10

This is not for me. I don't like slow R&B, just not something I'll ever choose to listen to, and this one didn't change my mind about it. I didn't feel the need to turn it off, just bored, mostly.

Rated 6/10

The production is lauded as being cutting edge and innovative, but this is from 2017 so I don't really understand why. If this was from 2007 I might be slightly more impressed. Perfect for mid-range clothing retailers who want music to make them appear hip while blending smoothly into the background.
