Спочатку здалось що доволі забавний альбом, перша пісня прям взагалі клас. Але чим далі тим менше подобалось та і вокал так собі. Втім, пару пісень все ж для себе виділив, поставлю 3.

I don't know what makes this album punk or any album punk and at this point I don't care to have it explained to me. The songs aren't catchy, aren't entertaining, aren't fun, and they aren't bad. I can't imagine someone liking this stuff but I'm sure there's some freaks out there that do. 2 stars

Best version of pretty in pink. This album is a liilt edgy and rough around the edges in the best way. Sounds great.
Rated 4/10
More nuanced that other albums in that similar vein, it does have some highlight snippets throughout that make it sound worth the while.

I’m not thrilled with the vocals, and there is a bit of a lack of variety, but it didn’t offend me. Very much a meh.
Rated 8/10
Probably the punk album I have enjoyed the most off of this list, the singers voice is a little odd but theres a funkiness/jazziness to this I like

I was daydreaming imagining what The Psychedelic Furs would sound like as a new band in the 2020s. A producer might be tempted to add a little pitch correction to the vocals, alter the tuning of the saxophones, bring the band more in time with each other, buff out some of the roughness. And you know… in this instance I don’t think that’s such a bad thing! The band are charmingly frayed at the edges, and I suspect fans find that appealing, but for me these catchy compositions are ripe for a high fidelity, more “produced” presentation.
When I see through the aesthetic I can hear a dynamic, exciting group who know how to write a good tune.

This was not particularly interesting, but it was pretty decent. There's a little bit of new wave, a little bit of pop and some textural intrigue, but nothing really to write home about. I remember liking the first few songs quite a bit, but everything else also isn't bad. I just don't feel that strongly about this, and I don't know that I liked it enough to give a 3.

This was just okay. The music was fine. The recording quality was not great. I wouldn't be in a hurry to listen to this again.

First time hearing these guys, definitely will have to give more of their stuff a go

Wowee wow wow, I was just listening to 'Pretty in Pink' right before this popped up! Magic! That song is pretty good, but the rest of the tracks kinda feel like inferior versions of it. I didn't know the movie was based on the song and not the other way around.
I enjoyed the 'Pretty in Pink' remix collection and would give it a 3.5, but one song does not an album make!
Highlights: 'Pretty in Pink', 'No Tears'

Good, but not as good as Talk Talk
Rated 8/10
Great album that straddles a bunch of genres without firmly belonging to any one.
Rated 4/10
This is as early 80s as an album gets. Despite having different lyrics, notes and rhythms, every song basically ends up sounding the same by about the 2 minute mark … and that’s not a good thing.

Medium Sound, nichts was es ausmacht

So this album was described as new wave, and it's okay. Music from the 80s, to me, tends to overuse synthesizers and can sound kind of cheesy sometimes, but I appreciate that this album didn't do that (real instruments for the win here). The singing style, however, employs that brit-pop spoken singing, which I'm not really a fan of. I gave it a second listen and enjoyed it more than the first listen, however. I like songs with dark tones and this had a good handful of those.

It's pretty good. For some moments, it reminded me of REM or The Replacements. I particularly enjoyed Pretty in Pink, No tears, It goes on (really loved the guitar work on this one), All of This and Nothing... Many people seem to have issues with the saxophone. Not me. This is 3,5 stars for me.
Rated 6/10
Of course, Pretty in Pink is great, but it felt like most other songs were just rehashes of the same material. Decent enough but not outstanding.
Rated 4/10
Nah. Do not want. Just can't get into New Wave. But I gave it a go.
