worse than expected

Great album for the most part. The album just flows well for me. 4/5
Rated 8/10
Not their best album, but some solid bangers.
Rated 6/10
Interesting. Not what I was expecting. Before they becqme a charicature I guess? What I thought derrick and the dominoes should have been. They understand what they are playing and are pretty good at mixing genres. Still not really my jam. But good.

Enjoying the sound of this one. Today I woke up dazed and exhausted from work, so this hit the spot on a Friday morning. 4*
Enjoyed: waitin for the bus, la grange
I feel like I'm no consistent with some of these ratings; a lot gets tied to how that album hits that day.

Bastante bien, aunque "La Grange" está muy por encima del resto del disco también me ha sorprendido "Move me on down the line". Este si lo veo imprescindible sobre todo por lo que tuvo que suponer en 1973.
Rated 8/10
I have never listened to a full zz top album until now. It was pretty darn good. Great guitars and drumming. Favorite tracks were La Grange, Jesus Just Left Chicago, and Sheik.
Rated 4/10
Oh no, not more blues influenced rock for middle aged dudes... I mean, this one was okay, but even the iconic track La Grange didn't feel like anything special here once it just started having rambling guitar, which seems to be what every track here devolves into. This felt more like strutting down the street than biking down the interstate, and I mean that as a positive, but it is certainly clear why this band as a whole is more iconic than most of the tracks they produced, let alone a whole album.
Rated 6/10
a real bluesy southern rock record. La Garange hits with the force of a trailer truck.
Rated 6/10
Digging the blues rock and crunchy riffs, and La Grange is a classic. Not sure the fast cars, loose women and drinking beer tropes work as well today.
Rated 4/10
They might be the best bar band in the world, but they still sound kinda shitty to me.
Rated 10/10
No arguments here - dorty dorty blues rock.
Rated 8/10
That was a very solid rock album. Turns out I'm just not that into southern rock.
Rated 8/10
A masterclass in Texas Blues with a thick layer of Southern Rock, and some funky licks.
The songs in the middle get a bit less than the start, but luckily that downward spiral then gets broken by the amazing La Grange - A song I could listen to 5 times in a row and not get sick of.
"Hey look! It's ZZ Top! You guys rock! "
Rated 6/10
Although it's an album I doubt I'd ever come back to in its entirety, I do quite dig this. Lots of great guitars and driving rhythms, alongside some solid bluesy rock.
Rated 6/10
Ya like 12-bar blues?
Rated 6/10
Decent, but very samey and full of sloppy (but still pretty fun) live versions of a few of the same tracks at the end of the remastered edition.
Really fun, and surprised me how many songs I knew. Tres hombres, tres 🌟
Rated 6/10
Southern rock generally isn't my vibe but even I've gotta admit that this album is chock full of great riffs.
Rated 8/10
Oh yeah Master of Sparks haluun prätkän ja ajaa auringonlaskuun. Ei myöskään tauhkaa levyllä. Helppo 4/5
Rated 8/10
Great band and probably my favourite Zz Top album.
