“Gimme Shelter” is a good song. The other hits on here are okay. The rest is just more Rolling Stones’ slop.

Rated 8/10

Since when were the Rolling Stones abducted by aliens and replaced by a funky mellow blues band

Rated 6/10

Never a big fan of the stones, but this album is iconic.

Rated 8/10

Much better than Aftermath. Opener and closer are fantastic. Some decent songs in between but nothing special. Most of it sounds like covers despite only one actually being a cover. I find with The Rolling Stones that you could make several 5 star greatest hits albums, but you'd struggle to find an actual 5 star album in their discography.

Rated 10/10

Bookended by two of the greatest blues-rock hits of all time, Let it Bleed boasts seven other tracks that ain't bad either. In fact, they're really, really good. 'She blew my nose and then she blew my mind'; 'They got earphone heads, they got dirty necks / They're so 20th century'; 'And there will always be a space in my parking lot / When you need a little coke and sympathy.' Mos Def notably opined: 'You may dig on the Rolling Stones / But they ain't come up w/ that shit on they own.' Right as he is, the Stones never claimed to be the origin. Underrated: they're as raunchy as they are prophetically dark and relentlessly in the muck. And a major shoutout to Merry Clayton (20 Feet from Stardom), who is clearly a genius.

Rated 8/10

Never really noticed how Dylan-esque this era of the Stones was. And the bookend tracks are perfect.

Classic

Rated 4/10

It's ok, but I never really got into The Rolling Stones' music.

Rated 8/10

It's good. Country Mick Jagger is always funny. But they still pull it off somehow.

Rated 8/10

Great opening and ending. Pretty good middle.

Rated 6/10

Gimme Shelter is the Stones' best track by a country mile. You Can't Always Get What You Want is pretty decent. Most of the other tracks in between these bookends are fairly run of the mill.

Rated 6/10

Have listened to it before, but couldn't remember much from it other than the big singles that bookend the record. Kinda understanding why I didn't remember them. Never was a huge Stones fan, and especially am not a fan of their slow blues tracks. Not that they were bad, just they don't do anything for me (and honestly, time is starting to get to them). I like when the Stones are more rock than blues, and this album is heavy on the blues.

This record for me gets propped up on the strength of Gimme Shelter and You Can't Always Get What You Want.

Rated 4/10

Definitely an influential band, just not for me. The lyrics are crass and borderline vulgar without making much of a point with it, and the country thwangs make me hesitant to listen more. The stand-out hits are the only ones you need in this album.

Rated 8/10

The Good: Rolling Stones sharp as knives
The Bad: Knives can cut, and it seems we need to Let It Bleed…
The Ugly: That we are celebrating this bleeding with a cake and a record…

What is there to say, that hasn’t been said before?
One of the greatest Rock n Roll bands ever… yet, on this album, on one too many songs, they are trying to be a straight from the Mississippi Delta, and that just hasn’t aged well.

Gimme Shelter and You Can’t Always Get What You Want are on most people’s Top 50 Greatest tunes ever, which means 4*
It would be 5* if there was more cohesion and less trying to be something they are not...

Rated 8/10

It’s The Stones, so you know it’s good, but it’s not their best album. A lot of filler here, bookended by two bangers. Shows the blues side of the band.

Rated 8/10

Great songs!

Rated 8/10

Probably the best opening and closing tracks on a stones album, but in between doesn’t quiet match up to sticky fingers or exile on Main Street. That’s why this is the stones 3rd best album, still more than worth of this list though.

Rated 6/10

nunca tinha escutado um album todo do rolling stones antes.
não foi ruim. mas também não foi bom.

Rated 8/10

A really fun listen. The first song was insanely good. The others didn't match up to it but still solid.

Rated 8/10

Strongest album opener ever? Gimme Shelter is one of the most powerful songs, with lyrics that are unfortunately just as relevant 55 years later. The guest vocals by Merry Clayton (I had to look that up) are absolutely insane and really the song would not be nearly as amazing without them.
The rest of the album is pretty decent but it would be impossible to keep up the quality after that opener.
You can’t always get what you want is a very strong closing song. Overall this album suffers a little from a lack of consistency but the highs outweigh the lows.
