If The Beach Boys were from Brazil, basically. Interesting enough to not get a bad score from me, but as always, I'm not a fan of 60's psychedelia.

Rated 8/10

I love an album that mixes things up and this certainly fits the bill! Nature sounds, different languages, different rhythms- but always moves.
High point track for me is Baby- ooh that organ is smooth.
Very excited for this new find!

Rated 4/10

Weird af 60s psychedelia. Cool that Brazil took part of that party as well.

Rated 4/10

Sounds like a home run on paper (world music mixed with late-60s psychedelia) but in practice it's more like a bloop single. Rather unimpressive but serviceable.

Rated 6/10

This is very weird but somehow I liked it. It was different from other things.

Rated 6/10

I thought I would hate this, based on the description, and although there were moments that were too close to San Francisco psychedelia for my liking, generally I found it to be a fun and interesting listen.

Rated 8/10

žešća brija koja zaslužuje četiri, bam

Rated 8/10

Rated 6/10

Well this one was quite a pleasant surprise. Definitely lots of energy and personality in here. I like the mad trumpet and the dirty bassline in some of these songs. There's lots going on, but it's cohesive, and quite varied throughout.

3.5 rounded down.

Rated 6/10

Najviše psihedelična muzika ikad? Na momente teška za slušati, ali ovakva kreativnost se treba cijeniti. Bili su dosta ispred sličnih bendova tadašnjeg vremena, samo u pogrešnoj državi.

Rated 8/10

Samba and Bossa Nova tinged Psychedelic Rock? Hell yeah!

El Sgt. Pepperino

Rated 8/10

Really fun album with strange instrumentation and weird artistic choices. The kind of pleasant surprise that should be on this list.

4.0/5.0: Great

Rated 8/10

this is the kinda thing im here for. not a fantastic album but it was a super fun listen. a bit chaotic at times with a fascinating use of different instruments

Rated 2/10

I'm not on near enough drugs to enjoy this....

Favorite songs: A Minha Menina

Least favorite songs: Trem Fantasma

Rated 4/10

An explosion of 60s psychedelia with a Brazilian twist. With the exception of of A Minha Menina (which i think must have been used on an advert at some point) it sounds a little too much like someone trying to sound like other groups in places, especially the Beatles but still quite enjoyable.

Not sure about the sudden slurp noise in Baby, may have made sense if you understand the lyrics but for me a rather unpleasant jolt.

Rated 6/10

It's things like this that is why I wanted to do this project - there's no way I'd have been listening to a 60s Brazilian rock band without it.

This was weird, and when it stayed the right side of the weirdnesses line, I really enjoyed it. The Mamas & The Papas cover was great and got downloaded as a result, but I liked a lot of the original songs too. Sometimes the desire to add a completely tuneless solo of some description completely lost me though.

If there is ever a South American equivalent of Austin Powers, something from Os Mutantes should definitely make the soundtrack.

Rated 4/10

Fun psychedlia with lots of zany stuff going on, crazy compositions, great fuzz guitar, and a wild atmosphere. I always find this band incredibly stressful to listen to though, it really puts me on edge - as much as I like this in principle I have yet to find the right context in which to actually enjoy it. Guess you had to be there...

Rated 8/10

Kickass weird and fun. Can't see frequent re-listens, to too novel and creative not to give it a 4.

Rated 6/10

Delightfully weird. Could see this growing on me.
