I’m usually a big fan of the blues but this doesn’t really do it for me. Eric Clapton is good on the guitar as usual. Nothing here is going to make me want to come back to it.

Je kan dit wel dood analyseren, maar je kan hier beter gewoon lekker van genieten. Want wat is dit een heerlijk album zeg!

I knew when I saw the word "blues" and the name "Eric Clapton" I was going to not be a fan of this, and despite a somewhat strong opening, I was right. Every song reads as the same boring, repetitive, misappropriation of a genre I already don't care for, and every time I had a hint of joy stem from the music it was because the song happened to be short and ended. I mean, Clapton isn't as big of a part of this as I thought he was, but that doesn't mean I still don't find his guitar picking to be dull and the songs to all feel the same. It got to the point where I was pretty much numb to everything this album threw at me, and not even clocking in at forty minutes and still getting that feeling is mighty impressive. Was this a big part of the British blues scene and Clapton's career? Perhaps, but that doesn't instantly make it good, in fact I'd argue we're all worse off for it.

This was decent. Not much more to say. 3/5

Yep, that sure is the blues. I can hear why Eric Clapton is so well loved. Not my thing.
Rated 8/10
Yeah one of the classic British blues records, well deserving of its place on the list, but just falls short for me of a masterpiece, no idea why just don’t completely click with it.

Blues w/ Jazz organ doesn’t impress me the same way it might’ve before I started this albums project, found this kind of grating after a full album of it
Rated 4/10
I find this pale wank showcase rather grating. Ground zero for so much mediocrity.
Rated 6/10
Good musicianship all around, but I find straight blues kind of boring. I don't dislike hearing tracks like these here or there, but a whole album of them is a little much for me.
Rated 6/10
Some pretty questionable lyrics, which would probably be changed nowadays, but good music and very interesting to hear such early Clapton work.
Rated 6/10
I dig it. Great performances all around. Listening to Clapton feels kind of gross at this point but if I set that aside this is a great blues rock album.

No soy muy de Blues y esto me ha sonado todo igual. Lo siento no es para mí y no creo que sea algo destacar como imprescindble.
Rated 6/10
Decent but not essential.
Rated 2/10
Meh - A bunch of privileged white dudes signing about how they want to get over on girls while they misappropriate blues music. Hows about putting some actual blues artists in the list.
Rated 4/10
Meh. Eric's guitar is cool, but man is the blues boring. god damn. this album would be a good exercise to pick apart just the guitar parts and clapton's playing, but really I'm bored out of my mind
