Easy listening and she has a great voice. Some of the slower, more basic, pop-tinged numbers are not good, but they're forgivable.
Also, it's possible to write a review of this album without mentioning coffee houses.
3.0/5.0: Good

i knew the name but wouldnt have been able to tell you a single song by her. i immediately recognized the first song and realized this would be a long 45 minutes. she has a beautiful voice and the songs are soothing to listen to. it makes for very good background music but i struggle to imagine someone actively listening to this for pleasure.

Post 9/11 america was all jumped up on nu metal and revenge, and needed calming down - a pretty dark haired lady with a nice soothing voice was the warm bath the nation needed. The 2002 suburban anesthetic starter pack: nasty cinnamon candles, cheap australian wine, Old Navy fleece, Amelie on DVD, and drowning out the beating drums of the impending forever war with this album of smoothed over corporate Nina Simone impersonations. I didn't really work though did it?

“Come Away With Me” by Norah Jones is easy listening par excellence—the question is whether that's a good or a bad thing. Personally, I prefer easy listening music that rewards closer listening with subtle surprises that remain hidden to the casual listener. Maybe I'm wrong (because I haven't listened to every second of this record closely), but I don't think Norah Jones delivers these exciting details. On the other hand, she manages not to become boring in the background. So I might even keep this album as background music that doesn't require attention, but it will most likely go unnoticed there. Still not sure what to call this. Calm music without any further properties?

Music for divorcees to enjoy while they sip overpriced lattes at Starbucks.

Not as impressed with the overall album.

Ok for easy listen, background music, but nothing I would likely choose to listen too. 2/5

Norah Jones has a beautiful, warm voice — probably the main reason 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘔𝘦 became such a phenomenon. The album’s smooth blend of jazz, pop, and folk is easy to like but can feel a bit samey and sleepy over time. Lovely background music, though not something I’d return to often.

*Good soulful sound to her voice
*Definitely sounds like a more contemporary Blue Note album
*Too many slower/mid tempo songs to make a full 5, but a great album

Nunca me convenció en su momento. De rebote sí que acabé escuchando bastante a Diana Krall que se parece a ratos, así que me tengo que plantear darle otra oportunidad. Me guardo "Don't know why" y "Shoot the moon".

Pleasant and relaxing album. A bit bluesy, a bit jazzy, a bit folky, and she's got an amazing voice. Unfortunately, it does all start sounding the same and it kind of drags on by the end. I did enjoy it, but I’m not going to return to it unless I'm looking for some calm background music to create a relaxing atmosphere for something

Pretty pleasant.

ehh. it's whatever. I don't hate it at all. I like Norah, actually.
But it doesn't really belong on this list, does it? It's music for Starbucks, when Starbucks was still a thing that wasn't on every corner.

Everyone who has been to a cafe has heard this. No one NEEDS to.

Great album and just plain easy to listen to. Had no idea she was Ravi Shankar's kiddo?!
Rated 6/10
Instrumentally it's a strong 4 but I am not a biggest fan of her voice.

Not my type. Too jazzy. Don't like it. Couldn't finish listening

I don't know much about Norah Jones, I don't think most people do. This won Album of the Year and she won a few others including Best New Artist at the Grammys but the "curse" behind that win *kinda* got to her. It's always interesting to see the amount of people who win Best New Artist never win a Grammy ever again or just fall into obscurity, but she won 5 out of her 10 total Grammys in one night thanks to this album, but she won 5 more throughout the next 20 years after this album so that's why I say *kinda*
Anyway, was this album "5 Grammys worth" good? Compared who was nominated in 2003, I guess maybe yeah. The songs are fine. Not my style but I always liked Don't Know Why, I kinda remember it as a child, I must've been 3-4 when the song came out and the following years still playing here and there. Plus some other songs were just as good like Come Away With Me and Got To See You Again, but I don't think I'll listen to this album again, it's just not my style.
