I've never listened to this whole album, but I assumed I knew what to expect with this one... and I was right. This album was insanely successful, and I love that for her. It's very pretty music and Norah has a wonderful voice, it's just not my thing. The only songs that caught my attention were the singles, and only because I recognized them. It probably can't be beaten as ambiance for a romantic dinner; I just don't love to reward albums for being good background music.

Christ that was boring

Rated 8/10

Das Album fühlt sich an wie eine kuschelige Decke im Wohnzimmer an einem regnerischen Herbsttag.

Rated 10/10

So smooth

Rated 4/10

Norah Jones undeniably has a beautiful, soothing voice, but Come Away With Me left me underwhelmed. Despite its critical acclaim, I found much of the album to be monotonous and lacking energy, which made it a surprisingly difficult listen.

Favourite Tracks: “Don’t Know Why” and “Come Away With Me” were pleasant and stood out slightly from the rest.
Least Favourite: Many of the other tracks blurred together and felt overly mellow, making the album feel repetitive.
Album Artwork: The cover is iconic and suits the understated style of the music.

Naxi cafe radio core fazon pozadinske muzike. Spašava je nadprosječan glas, osim toga je sve prosječno i monotono.

Rated 6/10

The majority of criticisms for this album seem to be that it's too safe and middle of the road - perfectly pleasant to listen to in the background, and that's about it. I'm afraid I can't even afford it that. Right out of the gate it's just so bland. It's perfectly well made, but it's so safe and boring that it just lacks any kind of soul. There are precisely zero edges to this.

2.5 rounded up.

Perfect music for like a dinner party or a date night. She has a lovely voice and the music is chill.

Rated 6/10

When compiling an album I think it’s important to make sure there are mixture of tempos and rhythms so that one song doesn’t easily blend into another. There is clearly a lot of writing talent on display, but once you get beyond the genuine pop hits the mid-tempo easy listening tracks do become fairly indistinguishable from each other.

Rated 2/10

I made it all of three seconds into this album before I recognized the agonizing waiting room/elevator staple "Don't Know Why" and noped out HARD. New record for shortest time spent listening!

Rated 4/10

Aggressively nice

Rated 8/10

The devil on my shoulder must love coffee shop vibes because why else would I be giving this trash 4 stars

Rated 6/10

Fairly breezy poppy jazzy stuff, I remember this feeling like a slow burning yet ubiquitous album when it came out, it would eventually sell millions upon millions of copies and win Grammys for Album of the Year and Record of the Year so of course there has to be some weird retroactive backlash... I mean, it's not going to set the world on fire, but for 45 minutes Norah does take you away.

Rated 4/10

I have no idea what makes this an essential album. It was wildly successfull at release, but I'd put money on the success was build on the album being great as background music. Everything is competently performed and put together, but nothing interesting hoppens.

I was disappointed when this popped up because I was sure I don't like Norah Jones. Do I know any Norah Jones songs? I do not. Not sure why I had the feeling that I dislike her. Maybe in my head I'm conflating her with Lana Del Rey, whom I also don't like and also can not name a single song.

Anyway, first impressions are mixed, she has an amazing voice. The songs are approaching a sound that I would like, but then there's this weird undercurrent of country music that just pops in. Like a slide guitar, or a certain twang that just makes me start to squirm. For example, Come With Me, which is apparently her big hit, starts out with sort of a standard, smoky, jazz lounge sound, but then there's a guitar solo about halfway through that sounds like it could be on a Conway Twitty album. Have I ever heard a Conrad Twitty song? I have not, but that's not the point. Focus. The point is that I don't *hate* this album, but it's too close to country music for me to like it. Three stars because I like her voice.

The first song on the album is called "Don't Know Why"...well, I Don't Know Why this is in the 1001. Sounds like a mix between stuff my parents used to listen to in the 50s and a bit of country here and there, but came out in 2002. I know this album was really popular, but it's so unoriginal it's almost shocking. That said, it's not like it sounds bad, it's just so run of the mill I don't quite know how it was so huge. Go figure. Couple of songs that caught my attention: Cold Cold Heart, Come Away With Me, The Long Day is Over.

Rated 3/10

Don't know why is such a lovely song, but everything else on this album is very forgettable

Rated 4/10

Boring, bland.

Rated 8/10

Well that was pretty damn great. I didn't listen to the Super Deluxe Edition because it's like 3 times longer and I cba. Personal favourites were Don't Know Why, Feelin' the Same Way, and Turn Me On. I liked probably 10/14 so I think I'll be generous and give it a 4/5

The Good: Norah Jones inviting you to go somewhere with her!
The Bad: Once you get there, you find out that she didn’t invite you for that…
The Ugly: Having to find your way home…

Ahhh, Norah, what a treasure. From the same alma matter where I got my education…

When the single of this album hit, I really liked it… then, one evening, I was invited to my brother’s house for dinner, and he had this album on as back ground music, and I found out that, though I do appreciate the effort, I find listening to the entire album near torture…

Sadly, this means that I can’t give this album a higher rating than a 2*
However, I do like 1 too many songs on this album… so I will just pretend like I appreciate torture, bumping the score to a 3*
