It's quite good, but WHY IS RINGO JUST SITTIN DOWN THERE
Side A
It Won't Be Long is actually really good, the notes in that song are great and one of the best early Beatles songs.
All I've Got To Do is good but is one of the weaker ones on the album, considering how good the first side is.
All My Loving is just classic. Not much to say, just it's amazing and one of the best on the album.
Don't Bother Me is good, but it's one of the worst on the first side, but it's good. Not great though.
:/
Till There Was You is great, very underrated, love it, yeah. Instrumentals very good on the song.
"OH YEAH WAIT A MINUTE WAIT A MINUTE PLEASE MISTER POSTMAN ✉️
WAIT A MINUTE WAIT A MINUTE MISTER POSTMAN ✉️
WAIT MR PO-O-OSTMAN ✉️
WAIT (WAIT) WAIT (WAIT) PLEASE MISTER POSTMAN ✉️
DELIVER THE LETTER ✉️ THE SOONER THE BETTER 🕜"
i've said all i need to say here.
Side B
Roll Over Beethoven is an amazing cover. I don't like Chuck Berry or his version of the song, but i like The Beatles and i like their version of the song.
Hold Me Tight is good but basically basic Beatles song. It's fun, it's nice, and it's nothing else.
You Really Got A Hold On Me is the best song on this album easily. It slowly builds tension and builds and builds and then explodes and i'm the first person to describe this song like a 25 minute prog epic.
there is nothing to i wanna be your man
or devil in her heart
Not A Second Time is basically the same as Hold Me Tight. It's short, fun, nice, that's it.
and nothing to money
NEED TO HEAR RATING: DEFINITELY HEAR
Best song: You Really Got A Hold On Me
Worst song: Little Child
Underrated: Roll Over Beethoven
Rated 8/10
Not a masterpiece, but still great. Short & sweet 👍
Rated 10/10
Not as good as stuff like the white album but this just reminds me of when i had a crush and listened to beatles love songs non stop.

2/5. There’s always seemed to be a general consensus that the Beatles fourth album “Beatles for Sale” is their worst main album. Though it still ranks low for me I’ve always disagreed with that notion, for me this album (With the Beatles) is handily their weakest batch of songs. There are a few highlights to be found like “Till There was you” or “all my loving” but for the most part this is a pretty rough track-list both in terms of originals and covers (look at their cover of “Roll over Beethoven” as an example.) In terms of early boy-band era Beatles stuff I’d take “Please Please Me”, “Hard Days Night” and even “Beatles for Sale” over this one without a second thought. It feels wrong to rate an album by the Beatles so low, but I’ve just never liked this one in particular very much.
Rated 6/10

great album

Day 39
It's a shame colour wasn't invented for The Beatles until 1964
Fav track: Don't Bother Me
Rated 6/10
Top : It Won't Be Long
Flop : Little Child
Rated 8/10
As with A Hard Day’s Night, I was surprised how many of these songs I didn’t already know. I think this record is generally a bit better than the aforementioned, but not as good as their more mature work. Incidentally, still waiting for a Chuck Berry record on this list…
Rated 6/10
I feel sort of the same way about this album as I did about A Hard Day's Night: having been introduced to The Beatles with their more mature albums first, it's pretty interesting from a historical point of view to go back and listen to their early stuff.
While I realize this one came first, I feel like I already gave AHDN its 4 for historical relevance. That factor aside, it would be dishonest to give this a high rating when, especially as an album experience, it's nothing that grabs me all that much.
Don't mistake that for hate though! I do hear the excellent songwriting on display, and you could probably find half the songs here on a Best Of Beatles playlist. Truly, I would never speak ill of the lads who would go on to give us Rubber Soul and Abbey Road.
Standouts: I Should Have Known Better • Tell Me Why • Can't Buy Me Love • Any Time At All • I'll Cry Instead
Rated 6/10
This early version of the Beatles is groovy, poppy, melodic, and occasionally bluesy. I prefer their later work myself ("Abbey Road" was quite good), but I can definitely see the appeal of this. Though I will say all of the songs were mostly similar to me.
Rated 8/10
I have a soft spot for early Beatles It's all kind of overshadowed by their later work, but early British R&B has a lot of nice energy to it. It's filled with a variety of classics and has a great flow to it, despite not really being from the Album era. That said, this particular listen was kind of ruined by the awful Stereo-mixing that pans every instrument and vocal to one side of the speakers. The Mono version that isn't on streaming is a much better way to enjoy this.
Rated 6/10
I used to think I was a Rolling Stones person but now I think I'm a Beatles person. Yet, nobody will let me marry their daughter.
Rated 6/10
Nothing ground-breaking to set them apart from the zillion other bands doing this at the time, but undeniably a tight rhythm section with beautiful harmonies.
You know what, I think these kids might go on to achieve something.
Rated 8/10
Not one of my favorite Beatles albums, but I assume I have others to come in this project.
I'm actually doing a little project making a Beatles "best of" playlist for myself. The only songs from this album I had added previously were "All My Loving" and "You Really Got A Hold On Me".
Listening this time, I really noticed how good John Lennon's voice sounds on "All I've Got To Do," so I added that one too :)
I probably won't come back to most of the covers, but it was nice enough listening to it again.
Rated 8/10
Like every Beatles album, some all time classics and a dud here and there. Potentially the most soulful-voiced Lennon period.
Rated 8/10
I'm not a big fan or anything but I knew a few of the songs and it was good.
Rated 6/10
Still finding their footing, but there are hints of what was to come. Amazingly different time in music.
Rated 10/10
Great album (for 1963), and I really love the album cover, too.
5.0/5.0: Iconic
Rated 10/10
arguably the worst beatles album on the list. that said, it is well produced and well performed and I'd take it over 80% of the list
