I already knew and loved this album, it's got that complexity that makes my brain tingle in all the right ways. Happy to have spent a day with it.

While I think I prefer Fantasy Empire, this is a fantastic noise rock album.
Do wish it were a little less repetitive and more catchy, but yeah. Overall, great record.

It was fine, kinda boring. I’ve listened to lightning bolt before and wasn’t all that impressed. They’re good at what they do and they definitely have their own sound. But it’s a little too beefy for my taste, and I just don’t find it particularly interesting.

I'm not smart enough to know why it works, but it kinda does. If it were more psychedelic and less cheese-grater-y I probably would have enjoyed it more.
Rated 4/10
Too noisy for me. I didn't hate it, but didn't find much there I liked.

This is sick. Sorry haters but technical guitar is awesome

To freaks like me "noise-rock" is just "rock" 😈
...okay but that doesn't change the fact my ears physically hurt

Wikipedia’s said their music was challenging. Not wrong! Noise rock. Nope, no thank you.

Yeah, I wasn't really a fan of Wonderful Rainbow. This is such a shame because i feel like i should like this album. Its got a very punkish and heavy sound and i really do enjoy albums like that. The main things that hold this album back though are just how utterly noisy and repetitive most of the songs here are. And look, there are some noisy albums here that can be enjoyable (Penance Soiree by The Icarus Line being one of them) but i don't think that these should be so repetitive. It also feels like the heaviness has very little weight to it which does drag the album down further. I wanted to like this album but i just don't think i can.
Best Song: Crown Of Storms
Worst Song: Dracula Mountain

This was a lot.

En principio me gustan, pero está claro que esto no es para todos los oídos. Considerar que de 1001 discos este es imprescindible es llegar muy lejos. Me han gustado "2 Towers", "On fire", "Crown of storms" y la bestialidad final de "Duel in the deep".

Love this album. Lightning Bolt are one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Complete chaos. This is probably their best album too.
