They said they would deliver the funk and delivered as advertised. Its clearly a live band and this album just lays the groundwork for their shows.

Ugh I just FUNKED all over the place

Rated 10/10

Untouchable funk. Just a LITTLE bit less freaky than Funkadelic, but still 100% great. George Clinton is nothing short of a genius.

'P-Funk, uncut funk, The Bomb.' Authentic having-a-helluva-time music is harder to come by than you may think - it's either qualified by the tragedies inherent to blues music, or it falls far short of something eternally superb. But Parliament is only a good time, which is not to say that it's ahistorical or somehow willfully uniformed. It's to say that funk needed to go to outer space in order to effect this sort of unbridled sanguinity: 'Starchild here, citizens of the universe / I bring forth to you the good time.' Besides the obvious influence this had on L.A. hip-hop (Dre's 'Let Me Ride,' explicitly), 'The Bomb' is also a revelation of production, and in its own way, it's the revolutionary outlook incarnate: I dare you to have an ounce of worry left.

Jeg vil at all min funk skal være p-funk

Rated 8/10

Cool Album with many "ah so that was sampled from here?" moments

Ah yes, of course .... wouldn’t want you to forget it’s a funk album, so they kindly remind you every five seconds with the word 'funk'

Rated 8/10

Well, it's funk.

Rated 6/10

Starlord would probably love it but that doesn't mean I do

Holy crap I LOVED THIS ALBUM. Absolutely brilliant and funky beyond words. I was fairly certain it was gonna be a 5 star before the end of track 1. Cannot find a single fault with it.

Top Track - Give Up The Funk, belter of a song

Rated 10/10

Awesome funk album, impossible not to enjoy.

Rated 10/10

Damn, this is so funky off the start. I think I've heard a lot of funk that does the instrumentals really well, but these guys also have some fun harmonized vocals that really add to it.
Highlight: give up the funk

Rated 8/10

Funk is the type of music that I enjoy when it happens to playing somewhere, but I just don't really feel the need to put it on for my own personal enjoyment. For me, it's dance/party music. I'd say there's three great tracks on this album and the rest is just kind of head-bobbing stuff.

Rated 6/10

Decent songs. Was catchy but extremely repetitive

this album was alot fun. its wild how many times this album would go on to be sampled in 90s hip hop.

Rated 4/10

Would be better as an instrumental album. Hype man vocals are just annoying

Rated 8/10

My frustration with over long tracks is apparently significantly reduced if a track is sufficiently funky. I very much enjoyed it and will definitely listen to it again.

Also, it's my favourite album cover so far, and its not even close.
