Rated 8/10

A lot of classics.
This seems to be a cleaner sound, and fewer 20 min. songs. Just a great album.

Rated 6/10

I really like Jim Morrisons voice and appreciate the bigger hits on this album. Sure it could be a more experimental album, but all around good. 3/5.

Rated 4/10

I hate Morrison 's voice so much. Some of this might be bearable with a different vocalist. Riders on the Storm is a pretty good vibe, especially the instrumental bits and saves this album from a 1.

Rated 8/10

Probablyy favourite of the Doors' albums, although in general I am not a huge fan. I appreciate the phenomenon of them though. The title track and Riders on the Storm are top their tracks, and there are a few other good ones here (Love Her Madly and L'America), but a lot of the others are pretty forgettable. Great driving album though, extra star for that!

Rated 10/10

The blues heavy influence is apparent. Great album.

Rated 10/10

Densore, Krieger, and Manzarek with some weird spoken word dude on vocals. Pretty obscure, surprised to see this on the list considering how underground this band was. Wonder what ever happened to them. Seems like they just stopped releasing stuff after a while.

One note: I never realized (or forgot) how incredible Robby Krieger. Really amazing, in all seriousness.

Rated 6/10

It's a bit hit and miss for me. I like a lot of the Doors hits, but there's lots here that's quite plodding and slow. I'm not really that excited by most of the album.

Love Her Madly and Riders on the Storm are the standouts for me.

Rated 8/10

Without the psychedelia wank, the Doors are much more palatable. And this blues-rock album does it well.

Rated 8/10

I don't like this one as much as the debut S/T album. It's still very good, and the popular songs are popular for a reason, they're great. This album is a lot more blues forward which isn't a bad thing. It's good, but it's not great.

Rated 10/10

This made me like The Doors. A subdued Heroin fog of an album.

Rated 4/10

The title track and Riders On The Storm are great, the rest feels like a boozy blues club band, boorish, whilst still musical tight, it put me on a bit of a downer. 2.5

Rated 10/10

A classic album for sure. Riders on the Storm is just an S tier song but the rest holds up amazingly too.

Rated 8/10

I don't think I would love this as much if I wasn't brought up on it as a classic. But I was, so I do love it. Four stars probably from nostalgia and familiarity.

Rated 8/10

4 sterren. Kom maar door met het volgende Doors-album!

Rated 8/10

With less than 150 albums even generated, I have finished all of The Doors' content that is on this list of albums. This album actually had me worried at first, as it almost felt generic in the first half, save for what is perhaps my favorite song by The Doors, Love Her Madly, but similar to the Dennis Wilson album, the second half of this album came in clutch to earn it four stars. However, I thought this one would be my favorite of the three, but it's probably my least favorite, as some of the songs lack that style The Doors had in past albums. Definitely still pretty solid though.

Rated 8/10

Riders on the storm soinee viikkokausia päässä. Doors kyllä toimii, 4/5.

Rated 10/10

I love the mood of this record. It feels loose but also builds some really compelling atmospheres and structures. Very cinematic, especially with the sound effects on LA Woman and Riders on the Storm. Some real nice production touches to smooth out the jams and make it punch in all the right places. Channeled their raw energy into something really well crafted. A personal favorite of mine has always been "Hyacinth House," where I feel you can hear the weight of Jim and the band living a lifetime's worth within their 5 short years together. He sounds world-weary and grizzled throughout most of the record, and he was only 27! Wish they could have kept going with him, but at least they went out on top here.

Rated 4/10

Really kind of an overrated band. This album has what are probably my favorite songs by the Doors, but in general I can take a hugh pass on this band. 2/5

Rated 6/10

Psychedelic blues rock. Yum!

The band sounds effortlessly clean and tight-knit across the entire album. They show they can still deliver some crazed energy on tracks like 'Been down so Long' and 'L'America', but where they really shine are on the cool and casual tracks like 'Cars Hiss by My Window', 'Crawling King Snake', and 'Riders on the Storm'.
