Best hip hop album and best example of a supergroup done right. Favorite track: Protect Ya Neck

Rated 7/10

Bombastic and loud. This shit goes so fucking hard. No one did it like the clan.

Rated 10/10

ain't nothin to fuck with

Rated 4/10

I guess this was an ok rap album. It didn’t completely annoy me, but I didn’t enjoy it. Rap isn’t my thing so this just seemed like another rap album. What makes this one special? 2/5

Rated 2/10

Nearly unlistenable for my ears.
The beats are so repetetive, the instrumentals minimal, boring or annoying.
I get that I fail to connect with Hip Hop albums mostly because I'm not a lyrics guy and pay only little attention to the words.
However... whenever I did pay attention, it was cringeworthy or even a little disturbing. Nope, not for me.
To say something positive, the movie samples they used were really cool.
1/5 - very weak

Rated 2/10

I was listening to my liked songs, then I got signal again and put this on.

Important and influential sure, but also boring and stupid. And I just was not in the mood for any of the three I'm listening to today.

Rated 6/10

Reminds me of the movie I watched the other day Shanghai vs ninja, awful movie, mid album lol

Rated 10/10

Absolute classics of gritty rap

Rated 10/10

Rated 6/10

Not my style, but I found this pretty good. I liked "Shame on a nigga", "7th Chamber", "C.R.E.A.M.", or "Tearz". This is easily a 3-star album for me.

Rated 6/10

Somehow, despite graduating high school the year this was released I never heard it.

Super excited when I read the reviews about future civilizations holding this up as a cultural masterpiece. I was familiar with the names like Old Dirty, Ghost Face, etc.

But nothing lands with this one. Not bad, and I'm sure if I heard it at 19 I would have felt differently, but I remain unmoved.

Rated 10/10

perhaps the best hip-hop album ever made. It’s either this or Miseducation and you can quote me on that. Every single song is perfect and you can quote me on that too. 9 emcees and every single one is at peak performance. Some of the best beats ever made, most iconic moments in all of hip hop. Honestly like every single part of modern hip hop culture can be traced in some way to this album. I mean what do I fuckin say? It’s a top 10 album of all time. It’s enter the fuckin Wu-tang.

Rated 8/10

Hypnotic flow, creepy beats and very funny

Rated 4/10

I heard a Ghostface Killah album recently and really liked it, making me think I would like Wu-Tang Clan. No is the answer at least for this album. It felt very one note.

Rated 2/10

Literally sighed when this came up…..

I just don’t get it. This isn’t music to my ears.

Ehh, I don't love this sort of hip-hop. I get that it was influential for its time, but it just doesn't grab me in any way. The musical side is fairly pedestrian, and the rapping is a lot of guy barking lyrics at you without a lot of variation or interest for me.
C.R.E.A.M. is one track I can listen to, but even that overstays its welcome by the end of it.

Rated 8/10

Their lyrics are a little strange at times. Rhyming diarrhea with gonorrhea is crazy work. Also "bouncing on old MEN" is crazy too. I think I heard "butt plugs" and "busting a clit" which are also very interesting. I like the back tracks for all the songs though they're very unique and nice. I liked the first song the best or "protect ya neck"

Rated 8/10

Really good album. Couple more listens and could easily turn into a 5
