Rated 10/10

Classic album, despite what the Reverend Smithy might think.

Rated 8/10

So cool. So fun. Seems like he was ahead of his time, but they just partied harder in the 70's

Rated 4/10

Don't really get Alice Cooper. I think you had to be there at the time, because this is very boring for something that is supposed to be "shocking". Maybe his live shows were great or something. Also I'm not really sure what the point of Raped & Freezing is...was there a joke in there or something? Who was the victim?

Rated 8/10

I think this is better than School's Out as an entire album, but I think it's still shy of great. Probably a 3.5 but I'll round up because I'm in a good mood.

Rated 4/10

Alice Cooper is a live act. I don't find myself listening to studio albums, but I would love to see a show. The songs alone are pretty mid. But not extremely bad.

Rated 10/10

I've been unapologetically enjoying this album all day. It's a true delight in rock music, where Alice really goes all out—especially in terms of production, thanks to Bob Ezrin. This album is phenomenal, filled with only strong songs and sound effects that enhance the listening experience, like the cheers in "Elected" and the drill sounds in "Unfinished Sweet."

It's also clever how he addresses some pretty unusual topics. I still believe this is his best album, and it’s definitely much stronger than the other one on this list.

Rated 8/10

I had never heard this before, other than 'No More Mr Nice Guy', which is a classic. I was pleasantly surprised. Not a classic album by any stretch, but competent and fun.

Rated 6/10

I did not know that this is how an Alice Cooper album could sound.

Rated 6/10

This was more enjoyable than School's Out - but some parts of songs weirded me out

Horrible noises and some sort of panting and moaning? Ruined the songs tbh

Overall ok album

I actually like Alice Cooper, but this album did not resonate with me.

Rated 6/10

dad rock NOVAMENTE.

uma estrelinha a mais porque é bem melhor que dire straits. dá pra ouvir sem ter filho de boa.

ouvia muito no more mr nice guy quando tinha 9 anos e estava cansado de ser bonzinho.

Rated 6/10

I have always thought of Alice Cooper as a bit of a joke act, and I have never taken his work seriously before now.

I really enjoyed this album. It was fun. I am surprised. I really enjoyed Mary Ann, I loved the dead and Billion-dollar babies.

Favourite song: No more mister nice guy
Least favourite: Sick things
Album artwork: A bit of a lame cover. I expected better

Rated 6/10

Good classic album

Rated 4/10

This was not what I expected of this album at all, having not listened to Alice Cooper before, beyond the hits. Not entirely sure why people were shocked by this in the seventies; it's so obviously theatrical and tongue in cheek. Some decent songs but Sick Things is pretty bad.

Rated 4/10

Simplistic rock style not worthy of a best of the best list. Found myself skipping half played tracks.

Rated 6/10

Although this album isn't like the Alice Cooper songs I know already, I found it to be pretty nice. Although in the song "Elected" the music is louder than his voice.

Liked songs: No More Mr. Nice Guy, Generation Landslide, Mary Ann

Rated 10/10

Somehow, I think I’m at a 5.

I can’t really explain why – I just enjoyed the hell out of this. At the first track, I was trying so hard to place what the vocals reminded me of, and it took until I Love The Dead to realize that Alice Cooper sounds like Weird Al for parts of this album; maybe that’s just a subconscious thing that added to my enjoyment of this album.

Even without that connection, I think the album just sounds fantastic. It’s got such a good variance of styles, from the sort of rock arena anthem that is Hello Hooray, to the James Bond vibes of Unfinished Sweet, to the sort of jovial and Elton John-esque No More Mr. Nice Guy, and to the blatantly obvious Bob Dylan homage that is Generation Landslide. There’s just a lot of fun to be had on this album.

It does sort of falter by the last 3 tracks, where it tries to take a sort of moodier approach (but they're still fine), but I think the strength of those first 7 tracks and the fun I had with them just gets me to a 5. I enjoyed it that much; great instrumentation, fun vocals, good vibes, awesome album. Definitely deserves to be on the list.

Remember when Bruce Dickinson did a cover of "Elected" with Mr Bean? Haha... I think I have a copy of the single somewhere, (yeah yeah, it was to support Comic Relief). 🤣

As for the album, it was fine, semi-enjoyed it. Though it does make me question the Hard Rock genre, as generally feels quite soft.

Rated 8/10

Billion Dollar Babies was quite the good album. I mostly was expecting a typical hard rock, metal-adjacent type album but it did surprise me with all the extra bells and whistles it had. It had everything from more orchestral instruments in some places to more electronic sounding guitar riffs in one of the tracks. No track was all that bad either. Its a fun listen I can easily recommend.
Best Song: Unfinished Sweet
Worst Song: Sick Things
