Complicated feelings - it was one of the better r&b albums I've heard in terms of having something to say and a unique sound. That said I wasn't entirely gripped by it. Despite being adamant it had a message, it sure was vague about what it was. I will go 3* as there's merit, but I didn't think "wow I'll listen again" and it didn't feel 1001-worthy

All the low ratings prove Jazmine was right to record this EP. Sure, it's nothing like making it to 1001 of the greatest albums ever. But let's be honest here: music is objective, and quite a handful of records on this list wouldn't belong here. And it's okay, some music stays relevant a little longer than the other. And as for me, I couldn't possibly imagine a better record to this explicitly embrace and manifest female sexuality and freedom in 20's than Heaux Tales.

Oooh, something very recent. The awards confuse me because it sounds like a lot of what's on the radio these days. It's a nice sound, but nothing outstanding. 2.5*

Today's album is like shitty Destinys Child, and literally every second song on the record is an interview with a different woman who talks about how they control their relationships because they have the pussy or they only have time for rich men. Shallow music for shallow bitches is what this is. Not sure why this generic R&B is on this list. Sounds like every other over produced pop star making "music" today.
Favourite songs: Put it Down, Price Tags
Least favourite songs: Antoinette's Tale, Ari's Tale, Donna's Tale, Rashida's Tale, Precious' Tale, Amanda's Tale (fuck skits)

Unique, in the concept and the execution, but with clear nods to lots of classic American artists from the past. The story-telling and world-building is exquisite, and the vocals are flawless, verging on transcendant at points. An absolute unexpected joy - the closest comparison would be Janelle Monae, in terms of how much I enjoyed it and also how much of a bolt from the blue it was.
Brilliant and startling

Why is this an EP and not an LP? There were 14 tracks! That's an LP sized EP if ever there was.
Rated 4/10
2.25 average per track, excluded the tales. This is not a type of music that I’ve listened to.

Not bad solid 3.4/5

No conozco de nada a esta señora, pero sin gustarme el tema "divas" con buena voz me ha sorprendido. Me ha recordado lo mejor de Lauryn Hill. Pick up your feelings y Lost one en especial.
Rated 6/10
Enjoyable and powerful, but lacking tunes. It feels like she's one song away from become a global superstar.

I enjoyed parts of this and found a lot of the spoken word pieces thought provoking, but overall I think I have a bit too much ex-catholic guilt left in me to enjoy music so sexually explicit to the full. I have similar problems with Prince and some gangsta rap groups.
Rated 4/10
I'm not really sure how I feel about this, as I think lyrically I understand the album in concept, but a lot of it comes off as artificial more than anything, and it is hard to tell what I'm supposed to be like "oh, good point" and what is a played-too-serious joke. As far as it goes musically, I think the backing tracks are okay, but they all sound like something I heard somewhere else before, and not really their own thing. This just doesn't feel like anything all that notable, and considering I'd never heard of this album before the generator, despite trying to relatively keep up with modern music tells me it'll be probably removed to make room for another album on the next version of the list.

r&b nice

The grooves are Thicc. The spoken word interludes are a cool play on the form of the "concept" album work. The album is a deep dive on relationship dynamics and goes to some genuinely thought provoking and interesting places.
Rated 4/10
Probably being harsh because this album is so recent, and I think this is a good album, not no idea why it makes the list over so many other great albums the last couple of years
Rated 2/10
This is vile, so of course many of you degenerates will laud this.

Begs the question whether this is an album or an EP. Without the spoken word pieces I don't think you could call this an album. Despite it's relatively short length I was growing impatient with its pacing. The deluxe edition might be more of a proper album but I'm not gonna to be listening to it. The things that Spotify auto-played after this was over; Solange, Lauryn Hill, I love, 5 star level. This, not so much.
Rated 6/10
It wasn't bad, but nothing stood out for me.
Rated 4/10
I'm confused how a 2021 album is even on this list? I think if I'd heard it elsewhere I may have even liked this, but seeing it here puts higher expectations on it that this just doesn't deliver. To be canonized that quickly, an album would have to be something truly groundbreaking. This is not that. It isn't bad either though.
