I'm glad it exists, and it was interesting and kind of fun but not sure I'm in a rush to listen again.

Rated 2/10

They no longer need to waterboard people for info - they just play this album out loud, it's more effective

Whoever added this to the list needs to be checked over by a mental health professional because they're clearly not doing well

Yeah this was nonsense. I did not finish it.

No doubt there's an experimental pioneering aspect of this in 1972, and probably inspired a bunch of our now well-loved artists, but it doesn't hold up to modern standards, it's just, well, annoying. 1.5

No. Just no. I fucking hate the creators of this list. My 5 months old cousin can compile a better list. This album is just noise. Incomprehensible noise can be good if done good. This is bad. Very bad.

Holy shit dude

Rated 6/10

As a Tom Waits, Ween, and Zappa fan, this doesn’t seem too far outside the box to me. Still delightfully strange, of course. Way more interesting than a lot of other albums on this list.

Rated 10/10

This is so fucking weird and I love it so much.

Rated 1/10

This is horseshit. Making bad music and calling it art isn't clever or profound.

Rated 1/10

dadaism in music form

Rated 4/10

An absolutely bizarre album, which I liked (a bit) in much the same way you might like a blockbuster movie - just turn your brain off and submit. This will not live long in the memory, and probably doesn't deserve to be on the list. However, it is perhaps worthy as as an example of what was going on when music was largely being written by weirdoes!

Rated 6/10

The disconcerting house band of a horror movie carnival freak show.

Rated 6/10

This is a weird one, had never heard of them before but after a few songs it really reminded me of the type of music your hear at really confrontational and provocative modern art installations. So, I was unsurprised to read that the band were a multimedia art collective. Not really something I'd listen to again, but interesting enough listen. I like to listen to really off the wall stuff like this every now and then, it kind of makes you question everything you think you know about how music is meant to sound.

Rated 10/10

I have no idea how to rate this. I hated almost every second, but this is what I signed up for in the first place.
You just have to admire this complete commitment to whatever artistic vision they decided on.
If you think Tom Waits is only slightly odd, this might be for you.

Rated 6/10

It's strange and weird and slightly off putting. But it's engaging at times and the strangeness works. Hard to rate, but very interesting.

Rated 2/10

860 albums in and I think this one was the closest Iv been to just switching it off. Really didn’t get this album at all was painful to get to the end I never want to relive that again 1 star.

Rated 6/10

At first I found the album quite funny, quirky and exciting. After half an hour, the novelty wore off and it became annoying.

I don't really know what this is, or tries to be, but it ain't it...

Rated 2/10

This was a very tough listen for me.

I understand that the point is to be strange, unsettling and completely unconventional, but it just does not work for me at all. The songs feel chaotic and disjointed, with melodies that never really develop and structures that seem deliberately awkward.

I can appreciate that it is experimental and probably influential in certain circles, but as an actual listening experience I found it grating rather than interesting. It is the kind of record that feels more like an art project than an album you would ever choose to put on.

Favourite track: None stood out for the right reasons
Least favourite: The overall sound just never clicked
Album artwork: Bizarre and eye catching, which probably sums the whole thing up

Rated 2/10

completely unlistenable. I get it avant-garde. but its not good?
